Yeah, the first pic was from a traffic cam... and it didn't show much. The accident was probably caught on the traffic cam, but who knows if UDOT will ever release it for public viewing?

My timing kit came in today, and low and behold, in the box were 2 5.4L 3V Vct Control Solenoid 8L3Z-6M280-B. They are over 100 each from Ford, and have a special on Amazon for about 57 each. These were sitting in the box along with the chain and gear kit. Now all I have to do is find someone with an 04 and up 5.4 needing VCT solenoids. The guy who I bought the kit from, sent me a return text and said he put them in there, in case I could use them. Stroke.

Dang Bear haven't seen you around...So what did you do after the surgery ? Find a cabin in the mountains with no electricity or service and do one of those Rocky Balboa comeback regimens ? Both knees done now correct ? Does it seem to be healing up right ? Hope so, good luck. I think I mentioned before, I've seen a knee replacement go bad and more and more people want them lol.

AK, you have a 3V now ? Must of missed it.

Cold here , 4 above. A little nervous about the trailer running out of propane and freezing up again. Thinking about driving out there now since I having a hard time with sleeping lol.

The last time I had the 40 lb tanks filled they overfilled 3 out of the 4 cylinders I bring in, I mean a lot. 3 gallons over in total. I didn't notice until I was half way to my daughters(where I'm keeping the trailer). The bleeders popped, one after the other, filled the truck with gas. The tanks heated up on the way back, gas expanded then yea. I didn't have far to go, stopping the truck would made things worse at this point. Killed the heat, opened all the windows and kept moving. I didn't smell the gas the rest of the way back, until I stopped the truck and unloaded.
I'm pissed off, but what do you do.... I get them filled at TSC, I guess this time after giving a piece of mind, I'll have to babysit, they won't let me fill them. So I usually drive through the yard, park the truck next to the tank and have who ever is working that day fill them while cruising the store. Man...not no more.

Before you say anything, I know this isn't the way to do it. And it's cheaper, less work to have a propane company drop their own tank and have them service it. According to the ordinances out there and although no one stays in the trailer full time (this isn't allowed), your also not suppose to leave them running unattended for too long. Didn't want to make it obvious with a tank sitting by it. Plus, I didn't really know when or if I would end this little experiment if it became to costly or not worth the hassle. so...

On the good side, been through the worst of winter I hope, I kept it going , modifying when needed. Learning what I can expect out from this thing so it won't be such a job when building my home. Make some improvements where needed this spring and I should be good with thing.

First off, Glad to hear the Bear is up and moving freely now. I hope like hell whoever buys your company, doesn't do the "lets buy it and scrap it for the deduction" crap. Good luck buddy.

Brew....No I don't have another 3V. I just bought a chain kit, that fits 97-10 or 11 trucks, less the upper cam gears. The guides, chains, tensioners, lower gears are all the same. I ran every number before I hopped on this kit. The seller, threw in the 2 3V solenoids, still in the Ford wrappers, because he now has a 17 with EBoost. I don't need them, but someone will, and I'll have them for whomever. lol

Look at it like this guys, It's the 13th of February, can spring be far behind? I know, I said that with a straight face too. I don't know how. lol

Yeah, JB, this makes both of them!- and so far, its great!- surgeon seems to think i pushed this one a little too far before replacing it- lots of swelling- and the tissue is still "thick" i guess is a way to put it, but both him and the p/t's say that will go back to normal in time
You would think a feller would have more time at home, but it seemed there was always p/t, stretching and icing regimens, lots of naps for the first few weeks until the anesthesia gets out of your system, it seems like the days flew by at times. I followed along with you fellers, man, you have had an adventure with your camper!!- hope you have a handle on it, next year it wont be such a surprise to you.
AK,White, and all you thinkers have a great day!,thank you guys for your thoughts and prayers for me. Its much appreciated!

Hey guys. I'm putting together a parts chart (using an Excel format) for these GEN 10's, so if any of you have any new Ford parts sitting around, post the number and bag/box description and I'll add it to my growing list. So far, I am adding engine specific parts, differential, transmission, body etc. It is also breaking down the difference in years for specific items. Things that someone might have a hard time finding the number to look for something you might be needing.

Anything Ford or Motorcraft, OEM. Tensionors, Emission pieces, Fueling parts, etc, anything on this order, give me the numbers and let's make this easy for others for down the road, and finding hard to find parts by OEM numbering.

When I get it done, or at least fairly well ready (about 220 #'s so far) I'll post it in a new thread, and we can have a chart for quick reference.

Well, made it out here. Very surprised it hasn't run out of LP yet. The two tanks I have on currently were overfilled. They were leaking when I hooked them up 11 days ago. To date, I haven't had two 40's last more than 9 days. Jeeezz, yea that should give you an idea.

Well, apparently the OPD valves are faulty on some my tanks... This occurs more often with LP automobiles and hi-lows apparently. Just got off the phone, gas leak hotline lol. Felt I needed to be completely briefed on the subject. OPD's are suppose to shut the filling process down automatically at 80% cylinder capacity. Works via float incorporated with the tanks valve. If faulty, there is a potential of over filling. If the attendant filling the tanks relies solely on the OPD vs watching the meter (gallons going out) or scale weight (if that is used), then there is a potential of over filling.
This is what happened. What made it worse, - transporting them in the truck (not a good idea, but was a short trip) exposing the tanks to warmer temperatures. The LP expanded quickly and over came the bleed valve spring (another built in safety to relieve pressure). Basically, -in this scenario, all that's needed is an ignition source to blow up in your face.

Got it!

Well, cranked up the heat here to burn off what's left. They don't use a scale at the filling station, mechanical gallon counter type, so I want to bring the tanks in totally empty. I'll see if they have a scale, I think I saw one there somewhere, but they wern't using it.

Anyway, I'll shovel the roof , -there's a foot of snow still up there, vent stacks are plugged, and spent 15 minutes breaking off the ice on the door, some thick shiii. I noticed the snow transforms to slush pretty quick up there if I don't shovel it off, it gets heavy and causes problems, major ones if I leave it I expect. Can't believe how much ice has cover the outside of the trailer...never seen anything like it, not this heavy anyway lol.
