Whitey.....We changed in 2011 to non testing of emissions. That was a major change. I love it. We don't have a lot of the older smoggers still on the roads, so it made it better for everyone. Besides, all the vehicles in the Valley area, didn't have to test and 60% of their vehicles came to town daily. So many had the old carbed engines, so they were always belching smog. lol Glad to see those dinosaurs gone.

Thought of something, not too comfortable with it, but if I can time it right.... Trying to thaw out the buried water lines or tanks below, decided to get a low watt (750) space heater with temp setting. Direct it right into the cold air return in order to thaw out whats frozen underneath.

Sound good ? Makes sense, can't see anything wrong with that. There's just one large cold air return. I can't find a leak anywhere. This way the space heater heat will blast down below then get recirculated throughout the trailer.

Problem before and at present, propane heat isn't as hot because of the low temps outside. I'm just eating propane with below normal payoff, -it isn't working. This should help it thaw out.

I'll sit with it for awhile.

I have a 120btu propane heater and have no problems using it at 20 below. I'm wondering if there is something added to the propane for cold weather use. I know there is in the diesel fuels we use. A special blend for winter so they don't freeze up. Summer is a better smelling fuel.

My friend in Sutton (60 miles away and in the mountains) uses a 100# propane tank for cooking and such. It sits outside all year round, without covers.

I may just have bad propane. Tanks are new and have been purged. They aren't frozen at this time. I'm pretty sure the fresh water tank is partially frozen, for the second time. Well, -I got that sound. It was a lot like standing on a frozen lake when the ice cracks, even got an echo effect. That has to be the fresh water tank. Nothings leaking that I can see...yet. Hot water tank is still working, the pump is working but has to be shut off manually...that's a first. Acts like it has a lot of air in the lines but it's spitting water continuously. Ice damns I expect, hope! Either that or somethings leaking, but hiding. I should of seen some evidence by now if I lost another line or if the tank split, but nothing yet. Lucky so far.

Dumb question.... but could you get CNG to work with what you have? I don't know your exact setup, but I see propane to CNG conversion kits on the interwebs all the time.

Nah, you would have to run a dedicated CNG line from a source. That isn't done, camp grounds don't do it either. CNG would work for a permanent situation. TT's aren't meant to be permanent.

Now if they would bottle CNG, that might be a different story lol.

That sucks... propane is a PITA. I think I may convert my grill over to natural gas. The gas company will like me, lol. Furnace, water heater, garage heater, and gas fireplace. I'm keeping their doors open right now. I'd switch to a gas stove too if the Wife liked it.... but she likes electric.

I think I'm going to flip the bedroom duct boot around again and point towards the fresh water tank. That worked pretty quick before. Perhaps I'll switch the water tank (on demand) from electric to gas. That might get it a little hotter down there.

My wife and I both prefer gas. Our current house has a pulsing electric stove... HATE IT but we are just riding this house out until she finishes her residency and we can move back closer to family. Brew I may be in your shoes for a bit. We want to buy land and build a house... although I dont think I can convince my wife to live in a trailer for that time. She wants to rent a house lol

I prefer gas everything, but dryer. Gas dryers don't seem to work as well as electric to me.

I finally found a 351W in the local classifieds. There have been a couple Cleveland/Modifieds in there for a while - but I'm not about to do a Cleveland. This Windsor is out of a boat though. Not too sure if there was a difference in how they are set up. Do any of you? I really want a roller block, and I seriously doubt this would be.

Doesn't say much.... https://www.ksl.com/classifieds/listing/50754516
