Thanks for the suggestions yall. I just want all around speaker for now that has some bass response. The components all seem to be lacking any low end unless you want to spend 500 a pair and then add an amp.

I'll put in my $.02 and suggest you take a listen to the Alpine Type R's. I think they're right in the bang-for-the-buck sweet spot.

The Type R's are a really nice speaker too. One thing that sold me on the D Series is their low end response. The Type R's will be a tad louder at one meter (87db vs. 89db). Either way, you're getting a hell of a speaker though.

In fact.... I need to buy some speaks for the Stang. The 30 year old FoMoCo 6X8's have seen their days.

Thank you guys. Im going to see if my best buy or local car audio shop has any on a wall I can turn up and see how they sound to me. I know sound is all subjective but yall definitely have a better handle on specifications and ramifications than I do.

My "ORIGINAL" plan was to get the lowest response I could from the doors so I wouldn't "have to" put a sub in my truck.

Well, it has two subs now. I always say that I don't like to listen to my music - I like to feel it.

Hahaha I know the feeling very well. I will more than likely change everything in this truck before its all said and done. I just need a good place to put the sub so Im not losing a lot of floor space. Might have to look into an infinity bass-link or something like that.

My Buddy has a 2011, and he made a box that goes under the back seat. He put four 8 inch Infinity's in it with a Kenwood 300W amp, and it packed a mean punch. Don't know what he's got now because he sold the 8's.

These are the subs.... Infinity Reference REF860W is what they were. As you can see, they MOVE really well for an 8 inch sub.

That things moves really well for an eight. There is a lot of room under the back seats. If I could fit a 250 ish rms watt 10" and amp under there I would be very happy.

I didnt realize the factory sony was a 10" thats interesting. If I could find the enclosure, put in a better sub, and run a mini amp I could be in good shape.
