I think those were heavy things weren't they ? Yea, Grandma wouldn't buy anything she couldn't club anyone with.

The old stuff (Lincoln, Cad, Buick, Merc, Imperials) all were big and heavy. They rode like a dream. Floating on the road. That was the way of the big vacuums. Must be why the GF rides an old bagger Kenmore.

Yeah.... they pulled themselves around, but they were heavy! Seems like most of the body was made of some sort of cast metal. It's been a spell since I used one. I remember how tricky it was to replace the belt on them.... that was always my job to replace it for my Grandma.

Who needs a transmission jack when you've got a floor jack and some ratchet straps

Yep it's an np205. It's for my highboy... the PO took it out long time ago and welded in a 2wd shaft... I'll see if I can find pics of his dumbassery

Gotta help Grandma when you can. When Grandma was still with us (it's been about 11 or 12 years since she passed) she complained about this vac not having a long enough cord on it. So I purchased a roll of premium cord and made her a longer cord for this vac. Good stuff, you know - cord that's flexible, doesn't tangle up and sufficient/rated for amp draw/pro rated length in mind. Hell, they only use a little 4amp motor...so I could keep cord gauge minimal and go as long as I wanted.
Anyway I voiced how well that little thing was built at a get together and ended up with it lol.

It's one of these in sort of a lime green, but hers/mine now is about 25 years old. Other than that , they look the same -

Finally re-installed my the upper cab head liner today. One less thing I have to store. Thank God I found my #7 magnetic nut driver or that grab handle side would have been fun. That little thing paid itself off 10 times over today.
