Go crazy and put in one of those adjustable suspensions where you can raise and lower the truck.

No I'm serious...ly kidding. I'd put the blocks back in or another leaf/air bags if you are going to tow regularly.

This way, my buddy can use it too next year, and it doesn't go to rot. LOL

This is without the 2 inch blocks in the rear. I'm considering putting them back in, but I'm on the fence about that. Maybe just a helper leaf to raise it an inch or so. Decisions, decisions. Thoughts guys?
Yea but it didn't really look right with the blocks either. Not sure what's up with that.

I have 3" blocks on mine and it sits level. I'm pretty sure they are 3" B&D blocks. Of course they replaced the original blocks. The 3" blocks raised the rear Iduno, another 1 - 1 1/2" vs the original blocks. Then with a little crank, leveled it out. The only bad thing about blocks is that they don't incorporate overloads on the blocks as they with factory blocks. So you have to watch your loads and trailer hitch weights and tread carefully on off road ventures. Without overloads you could break a spring among other things. My trailer hitch weight on the TT is just under 600 lbs. That was just a concern at one time, -not now. Anyway, that's the only downfall with blocks.

I thought it over last night and have decided to go back with the blocks and tweek the t-bars to the right height. I'm not going for a rake in the front, and certainly don't want the dog peeing look in the rear. lol I went out and measured my blue F150 and lil Red is the 2 inches off in the back and 2 inches in the front. That seems like a simple enough change. lol I found my blocks, now where did I put the damn U-bolts. There in the shed somewhere.

Thanks for the responses guys. All of you.

Are you sure they're are 2" blocks? I'm 90% sure they're 3", well, mine are anyway (guess I could measure them real quick). The factory blocks are around 1.5". It was a B&D kit you could purchase that came w/U-bolts that replaced your original blocks. It was a cheap kit, maybe 50-60 bucks back when I did it. But that was 10 years ago or so.

If your interested in a good spring set by chance, I know of one supplier who builds them specifically for these trucks, -

I can get the site info once I get back home tonight if you want. They're like 100 per side if I recall.

Sorry Brew but they are exactly 2" blocks. I also picked up another set from my buddy who has so many GEN 5's and 6's in his yard, yesterday, when I took the boat to his house. Luckily he had an Expy sitting there and gave me the blocks and Ubolts from that one. Again, the Ubolts just came right off. I had both blocks and all 4 bolts in under 10 minutes. I'm so glad things aren't as rusty as they used to be before the late 90's.

I need to remind myself to grab that new dual diaphragm booster that is on that truck. He said the brakes were replace just 2000 miles ago, and they look it. I'm going to grab all that off this Expy, as he isn't into the GEN 10's. He's a carb old school type, and then even I have to bail him out once in a while. It's nice to be needed, sometimes.

This irks me so much you're in Alaska and you don't have rust... I'm in Indiana and vehicles don't even last a decade... why can't the rest of the country get smart and do what y'all do!

Yea you must have an entirely different set up. Makes sense, to me anyway, why it looked so goofy with those blocks on your truck. You must be double blocking it.... can't say I would do that myself.

It's either that or the 2" blocks would only give you a half inch of lift....Yea you must be double blocking it, damn, that's to far for me to crank, it would ride like a brick, the front end would come apart for sure lol.

No need to apologize, you might want to read my post again though lol. You know, I've been trying to figure that out since you purchased that truck...finally got there I think. I mean that's why it looked so jacked in the rear, when you first got it..

This is a few years ago of my other 98 and you can see there is no rust on this truck. It's still the same, it's just not as clean as it needs a bath. LOL
