It's been a while since I posted in here, I still read all you guys posts though, seems like you all are getting along pretty well.

I'm creeping up on a month straight out here in Minnesota doing this Geothermal drilling. Different from what I'm used to but I think it'll be a good change. Plus I've lost 30 lbs already. Also got my first full 2 week paycheck, I'm making more in two weeks than I was in a month at the other company. The only downside is how long I'm away from my family. 2 more weeks till I get to fly home to see them and take a 2 week break.

Tell me about it lol. It was scary just how easy it was to break the welds off

It clearly worked for him tho. It's been like that for 20ish years. Also made the trip from TX to IN for me... can't complain? I guess lol. Had I looked at that closer before my drive home I wouldn't been a lot more nervous for those 1200miles, oh well the new TC is in with grade 8 hardware so no more worries.

Just need to find some driveshafts cz the ones I bought in CL don't work

That's pretty awesome and 2 weeks off isn't a small amount of time. I could stand to lose some weight maybe I should try out for your kind of job.

Hell ya man, if you're serious about getting into the drilling industry let me know. There's always money to made. I'm taking home about 5k a month with another 1120 in tax free per diem.

Not bad, but there's a lot more to be had, at least you doing per diem work...being away from home and all. Did you secure that position through RoadTech ? I believe I sent you that info, quite awhile ago.

Well, if your not using Roadtech yet, keep an eye on it, you can score BIG and quite frequently! They are usually stingy with time off though, often it's 3 weeks on 7 12's and then a 4 day leave. But they'll fly you home or anywhere and back for free. You just have to be reliable as hell lol. There are also levels of per diem to encourage moving your family with you. Some assignments match scale wage dependent upon your skill level. But yea, the best thing about that it's Tax Free. You can make some mad cash as a road warrior.

Anyway congrats, sounds like your off to a good start.
