Yes, that's why we let our helpmates do it. Besides, they are fussy anyway. We are easier to please and they want to please us. It works for them that they get to do the majority of the cooking, and we are mostly ok w that. It's a symbiotic system that tends to work. But let's look at this man having trouble boiling water. 😉 What is your altitude, and your mom's?

I have several places, ended up w Professor. But also, and again helping the new shop owner fix my 150, McGiver. Jack of all trades, master of none? Or a preferred, Renaissance Man... But here, there's a LOT of stiph competition in that category.

I'm at 8950' here, where water boils at about 195°. Pasta takes a few extra minutes, but rice takes forever. The instant pot is worth having just for that. (Mine's an Insignia copycat.)

When you say, "... that formula works here...," do you mean the 5-5-5, or modified per the page I linked?
