Thinking
A neat dryer I installed once had no way to exit a vent. It condensed the water, which requires a.far smaller exit to create. No active powered condenser though, so drying may take 90 minutes instead of 60. Might be good in a.cold garage. In fact, it'd be way more efficient.in the cold, and warm you up.
A heated garage floor may be an idea for a couple of you who live on one. 3-6w per sq.ft. Really good over a.cork substrate 1/4-3/8" thick. Upgrade your work digs, house value. Years you can tolerate cold on your back. Top w thinset and linoleum. (Won't warm the garage.)

Side exit can be nice because it allows the dryer to be pushed up closer to the wall. In most existing installations, though and old construction, it's already plumbed to come out the back, so it doesn't make any difference.
OhioLariat;7540383]I never really understood those people who get a new washer and "just have to get the matching dryer." Unless you're changing capacities or want updated features, they're both big white bulky boxes hidden away in the laundry room.
Knowing there are fussy people and not knowing what type of fussy my wife was, I let her pick the.color. I was almost surprised she chose white over the cherry. But for the set, she saved $300. Wonder where it went... She saved it though so it was hers...
