My Wife is over at Walmart. I just called and told her to call me when she's over by the filters. Hopefully she finds some more. I have four FL820's right now.
Welp... she said the FL820 is now $8.44 on the shelf, and they had two left. I got back on the line, and bought them both at 3.97 each. And now look at the price...
EDIT: I'm probably good for a really long time. I only drive the F150 enough to change it once a year. I changed it at 1700 miles last.
I also have a Wix XP for it, now that I'm thinking about it.
EDIT 2: Ohio, when you make LMR orders, just throw a couple in there with it, LOL
I wonder how long that LMR price will last. I'm good for now, I think. I have one in the garage and am picking up three more (at $8.00 each) at Advance Auto tomorrow. That should keep the Mustang going for awhile given the 2500 miles or so each year and the Mobil1 I'm using.
FWIW, I got these Auto Extra filters from Rock Auto. They said they are rebranded Wix. I just found 4 of them out in my stash. Sooo... I cut one open. It's 100% the exact filter as a Microgard from O'Reilly - also a Wix with a rubber DB valve. Same filter media, can style, print (date and lot codes), and relief spring. Also uses a Wix socket. Sorry for the pic overload. But, if these prices get out of hand; it may be helpful.
If didn't just waste my whole check on Walmart filters, I'd be gobbling these up. On clearance, $1.04 for a Wix, which I guarantee is like the filter I cut open tonight.

Just for gits and shiggles, I put 6 in my cart, and adding shipping took them to $3 each before tax, so don't feel too bad.
Hey Ohio.... just a curiosity thing. Are you still running your quad shocks?
Yep. I replaced them with new Gabriel's when I did the suspension work years ago. I'm a dues-paying member of the "if it ain't broke..." camp. I've heard way too many stories about removing the quad shocks resulting in wheel hop, even with modified suspensions, and the only reason I can see to remove them would be if you completely reworked the suspension to eliminate the need for them. (Think watts link or TA/PHB setup.)

I'm just curious how much they really "do". They seem to be in my way for fitting 18 X 10's. I am putting aftermarket control arms in, but not sure if that's enough if they do more than I'm thinking. Hopefully that makes sense.
