By the way, new idler arm and pitman arm, and fresh alignment.
On my F150, no. But I did on my 96 Ranger - which I am fairly certain is the same gearbox. I just went half a turn, and it was much better.

EDIT: Nope, not the same - but very similar. Same procedure though.

I did on one of my 10th gen. The fella that showed me how has forgotten more than I'll ever learn. You can get to it without removing anything iirc. He said when you undo the jam nut to only tighten an eighth at a time to avoid overloading the pump and burning it out.

That was nerve racking.
Got the fuel tank installed and the filler neck did not line up with the hole in the 1/4 panel.
They must have dropped it during shipping and bent the filler neck.
It is soldered on the tank, so I had to be careful bending it back to where it needed to be.
But now the filler door and hinge mount will fit.

Could it be because they still don't know what happened to the last guy who attempted to plow your street?

Check your steering lower shaft OhioLariat
Do go easy on the sector shaft adjustment
Like white89gt said, about a half turn is about the most you want to go on that adjustment screw
The lower intermediate shaft is your problem in most cases of excessive steering play
