It my be okay to use after a full flush. But the worst you can do is mix it. That's with orange and green anyway since it WILL gum up and plug up.. I've always just followed the owners manual, = Green. But there's been new formulations since my manual. I haven't had any problems and only use long life stuff. AFAIK there hasn't been a spec change TSB. That's not to say there isn't one.

I didn't think it was a big deal, I remember about 10 years ago only seeing the gold stuff in the 11th gens and up. I definitely know not to mix colors. I've never had an issue with the green in over 70k miles.

Well, I wouldn't worry about it. Techs today might not be as familiar with these trucks. Might even consider our trucks as fossils lol.

For sure Drill. I've seen a few posts on here about the blocks being the same, and always try and correct their mistake. It seems like some people don't grasp that not everything is the same, even if they are both called modular (Triton) motors.

Ya, bad info is like a cancer. Once it starts, if not remedied quickly it will spread.

YoJimbo's name was just so wrong. I changed it to "Banned" Troll. would of been more appropriate. lol

I don't remember his exact problem, but he had a code for a bad MAF. I gave him a diagram to show him where to measure voltage and the proper ranges. He had no interest in that, at all. Instead he "fixed it" by putting 94 octane fuel in it.... because somehow that magically fixes MAF's. I even gave the dude a coupon from HF to get a free multi-meter. It really pissed me off when he started harassing the hell out of 01KingRanch.
