The 2550 miles from Anchorage to Seattle is one thing, but now you have to have a passport to travel to and from here, unless you barge it or take the ferry to Bellingham Washington.

I've driven the Alcan Hiway over 200 times thru 1990, usually from Seattle to Anchorage, but haven't been on it since then. I just might have to grab the motorhome and do a southern trip in the next couple years. My North Pole honey wants to travel, so if things go right, I might just have to pull that off.

It'd be nice but it's a 3600 mile drive for me. I have a passport so that's not a problem but I'm coming from Kansas City Misery. Unless I win the powerball sadly not in the budget.

I'm sure that's a beautiful drive. If it wasn't for the wife I'd be doing my damnedest to be homesteading somewhere up in Alaska lol

I managed to get lil Red out of the spot he was in all winter. I had to throw a new battery into him but for $50 for a new Interstate (Johnson Controls) from Walmart as a Value brand. I did some serious research on it, only to find that is the very same CCA and minutes as their MegaTron battery. I bought one, after seeing that 99% of the comments were 4 or 5 rated. The overall rating was 4.6, so I stepped up and decided to try it. So far, so good.

Tonight it is seat replacement time. Tomorrow, I'm forgoing the garage sale this weekend, I'm doing the back window and trim, the shocks and exhaust. I can finally be able to have a clear living room for a change. No seats sitting there on the floor waiting for spring. lol

Hey Gents... went over to my neighbors house and put my scanner on their Expedition. P0171 and P0174. I know the common areas on the 2V motor, but is there any other areas that are prone to leaking on the 3V? I may need to go buy a fogger tomorrow...

White....those 3V's will set a 171 and 174 just from the spark plug gap being off. I've never seen an engine so sensitive to slight plug misfire or excessive gap. I'd check there after the common stuff. I did an 06 a couple months ago, with those codes. I pulled the plugs after all the normal checks and they were so long in the gapping, that they weren't burning right. Changed them out and the codes magically disappeared, not to come back, YET. lol
