Not to sound like a jerk - but for all of the time that a lot of us put into helping others out, I feel like paying to be a member has a certain level of douchebaggery.
Kind of reminds me of going to a car show.... and they want me to pay to show my car that I've put some much time and money into already.
There was a show here a couple weeks ago I was interested in going to until I realized they were charging the participants to show their cars and you had to pay to get into the show as well so they were taking from both sides. Needless to say I did not attend.
Well I did something stupid, on purpose. 1st a little background. My little rocket Fiesta ST got rear ended back on June 20th. Due to supply chain issues, parts shartages, whatever, my car is still in the shop. I called and spoke to the manager who informed me they are waiting on critical parts that have no ETA. He said, "I don't want to scare you but, I have a truck here that has been waiting on parts for 7 months". Well that got me motivated. I sold my Honda VTX 1800F for $500 more than I paid for it a year and a half ago. After searching everywhere for a decent Mustang and driving some **** that was supposedly in "Excellent Condition'. I found a poorly photographed ad for a white 2007 Mustang GT/CS convertible for far less than market value around here. I realize it is near end of season for verts, at least up here in the Seattle area, but I grabbed up my cash and took it home last night. Finally after 30 years of wanting but never quite getting a V8 Mustang I finally have one. The previous owner put some stupid stickers on it that I'll be taking off when I get home tonight, and it needs a good clean from top to bottom but I love it. It's got an Airaid CAI and a Bama tune but otherwise stock. The only downfall is it's an automatic. I hate automatics but everything else just fell into place so I can overlook this deficit.
With all that said, I know there are a few Mustang guys around here. So my question is, with all the sites and forums out there, where do you hang out when not here? It seems some are abandoned or have poor attendance. I don't want to waste weeks tracking down the good places. Oh but I did find AKDoggie on one of them, damn I should have made note of what forum that was.
That is the Mustang Source page. If I remember correctly that is the sister site to this one.
Buck0, I just had one of the 6 original members of All Ford Mustangs ask me to join Stangnet. So far, I like it much better than All Ford Mustangs. However, The Corral is wonderful for finding parts. I bought my heads, and two cams off there. Might have got my 351 distributor there too.
Here it is last night when I got home. The stripe down the side is factory but then there are claw mark stickers and extra stripes plus some top of the windshield banner BS that all has to go.
Mountain lion, (read, Cougar,) attempted to jump a pony? Slips off under hoof and was trodden? Nix the extra stripes.

If all goes as planned, Frankie is going to look different tomorrow! Since it's just primer, I might just do it in the driveway. Supposed to be a nice day tomorrow.

Will that just be a quick protection primer, or, the thicker primer, that helps you sand down for discovering unevenesses? Maybe that is the 2nd layer of primer?
