A vast majority of your questions are relative to proper maintenance. Look at Brews truck for instance...whaddya got on the 98 @Jbrew ? Over 300K? Original gaskets, right?

GRF, it all depends. If some idiot put Dexcool in it, you would be doing it sooner. If it is properly maintained, it go years and years.
Dexcool is orange coolant (HOAT).

I only use Prestone Yellow Coolant. It works with all fluid colours; All OAT, POAT, HOAT and IAT.

(even if there was green coolant in before, or traces of it, yellow coolant is still good to go)

They're most likley repairable...there's some rust, but can't really see them well enough with the wheel well in the way. Installed them new in 2019..built the Y pipe back then as well. Used mild steel for the Y. Rotted from the inside out pretty quick. If the Y wasn't bad, I'd just repair the headers. Tired of messing with headers on that thing. Locating a pre-built Y made of 400 series SS for the 5four/4R100 combo was lucky as hell. I don't think I've seen one in the past. That's going to make the install easy. Definitely not going to cut that thing up to fit those headers lol.

The cowl covers like to break on these 150's as well. I think the 98's is in two spots. You can't really tell unless look close.

360,000 miles. Passenger side HG failed at 38,000 miles due to the "burr defect" while the motor was being built at the factory. Ford covered it.. So the pass side head was off once early on. That's it. The coolant system is just about all original...hoses, core. I swapped the the heater core hoses to delete the restrictor...but that's it. Still have the original ones if needed. The engine compartment is still very clean in that truck as well...surprisingly so. I'll get some pics when I over there.

Simple maintenance goes over big with these trucks. Good luck with the body in the rust belt...It looked good for 250,000 miles...f'it after that.

Yeah, forget about the body of the 10th gen F150 or any other truck for that matter if you live in a rust belt.

suffice to say, if you love your vehicle...keep it out of winter circulation.

I don't see why these trucks wouldn't last 40 + yrs or so in climates like: Cali, Arizona, Florida etc....

This is Verizon 5G. It's not as consistent as Comcast, but it can be faster. Uploading videos is where I notice it most.

living in the rust belt has nothing to do with it. As long as you keep your vehicle cleaned off and the underside sprayed off you can and will keep it from rusting. Simple as that
