I sure hope so. It's a 2.3, so probably won't have torn floor pan or ripped torque boxes. Since it hasn't budged in the 5 years I've lived here, I am assuming it doesn't run.
Just "no, it's not for sale". I haven't asked since the day before I found Frankie, so maybe they've softened up now? LOL
Sideways approach. ",Do you know of any others? I've wanted one, because..." And don't say, to take it to the drag nationals. Commissuarate that you now understand, it might have been emotional attachment, "for some reason. Hate to see it rust away. Good luck w it. Let me know if you need mechanical advice. At your service, ph 555 etc."
A 2.3 ? Why do you want it...purdy sure it's not ecoboost lol.
Thought it had to be a 5.0 if you were interested.
Edit, -NM- Oh yea, you got an engine for it.
The 2.3 and 5.0 use the same K member. Really simple swap. Motor mount slide right in. The trans crossmember needs to swapped to a double hump for dual exhaust. I have headers, H pipes, a motor.... wheels... LOL.

Yeah, good approach tactics. I definitely need to work on my game for next time.
Yesterday was nice out, so I made the kid help me and we swapped the Mustang tires/rim back to the 19's, and the 18 take off, I put on the Edge to see how they would look. A bit small, but he liked the wheels, so I found him another set of bigger tires so he can have them swapped next week. We had to have our studded tires off by today, so this is what we did for this week. It really drives nice with those tires on it though. Just a bit smaller than should be.
I gave it to my son to replace the Subaru that he's had since new in 2000. It has the wheels, sport tail lights, and some window deflectors now. All in all, it turned out fairly nice and with the new struts/shocks, rides like new too.
I have a theory of why my rear diff may be turning it's newish gear oil into a sliver/metallic color ...
If the ride is stiffer on a truck with heavy duty leaf springs(5 leaf + helper springs) vs. factory springs(4leaf)...
doesn't that put more strain on the rear diff more ?
I can feel more bumps in the road, and the ride is in general more stiffer.
Probably gears coming together and rubbing more....
make sense somehow ?
I don't really haul anything serious or tow at all....
No, you could replace the springs with iron bars and that still wouldn't turn your oil silver.
