$41 + tax/litre for Motorcraft 75W140 at dealership.
(Rear Differential)
That's $46 for a litre!
Pennzoil $27 + tax/litre for 75W140
$30 with tax !

C'mon !
Anyone know if it matters if Motorcraft rear diff is not used?
Is it ok to use Pennzoil, it's still GL5!

Any fluid that meets the spec(s) is suitable.

Believe I used Castrol 75-140. And some 6-8 oz of friction modifier... which may have been Ford. Castrol USED to be known for the least ash content.

I don't know about Pennzoil but Valvoline already had the Ford approved friction modifier in the oil.

Looks like it's double the price now whatever brand.

MAHLE gaskets are double the price over Fel-Pro.
Which is better though?

I've never used a gasket that wasn't Fel-Pro (except header gaskets) so I don't know about Mahle but I've never been dissapointed by Fel-Pro

I use Felpro pretty exclusively. I'd go with 95% of the time. I'd have no issue trying Mahle if that's all I could get. I won't use anyone's cork gaskets though.
