Nope... the rust wasn't nice to me at all. I wound up cutting the pipes right at the end of the muffler. I tried to heat it up even... and it wasn't having any of that. I might go get it welded up now, but the clamps seem to be doing their job right now, lol.

EDIT: was able to cut around the weld on the drivers side with an IR air reciprocating saw my Buddy gave me. He just bought an Air Cat and gave me his old one. Pretty handy little unit. It's this one here... but the stickers are mostly worn off now, LOL.

Anyway, I cut around that weld, then heated it up. I beat a nice dent into the old muffler trying to get it to budge. Nope!

Yea, it can be too much of a PITA separating old exhaust, specially after they've bee over torqued with exhaust clamps..... not worth the effort.

I have that same saw, comes in real handy. Only bad thing about it, not much in blade choices. I made quite a few custom blades for that saw. Air Cats will run sawzall blades if I'm not mistaken. But it's simple to customize blades for that IR.

Sounds Great!

Thank you!

Yep... it's a wonky blade, unlike anything else I own. I actually got my snips out and made a blade for it out of a hacksaw blade. I could only find them on Amazon, so I ordered those for the next time I need it. If the Air Cat does use a regular Sawzall blade, I think I know why I have an IR now.

EDIT: BTW, I just finally bought the Motive Power Bleeder that I've had in my Amazon cart for a couple years. A guy in the Utah Fox Body group was telling me how much he loves his.

They are quite similar. I need to change brake fluid on about every rig I own this summer. Only put new fluid in Frankie last summer. I'm hoping I can get my 2011 Escape to bleed OK. I did my 06 Escape just before we moved, and it was a breeze.

Yeah... I've had that thought several times since installing them. I keep reminding myself that it's just fine how it is, LOL. I have two Flowmaster HP-2's just sitting here now, so maybe I'll put one of those on it now. We'll see. Problem is, the Flowmasters are a straight through, and my F150 is center/offset. So I might meed it to be put in for me.
