FWIW, last I knew all Droids were now being made in the USA. However, my old Droid was a big POS. Motorola does not support older models like Samsung does. I still get updates on my S3, and it is like a 4 version old phone. It's been dropped, stepped on..... and still rock and rolls. All of the pics I post are from the 8mp camera it has, LOL.

Besides all that, Apple does not allow generic bluetooth devices to connect to them.
Alright those are the Phones I'll start educating myself with lol. Don't really need torque but may come in handy..at least I could get some fun out of thing anyway. Was looking into the best for tethering but that's a dead end with data caps. Unless your just going for basic internet connect vs anything data heavy. Before pursuing that interest, I figured it wasn't doable since it would dig into provider profits substantially lol. Checked it out anyway realizing quickly it was nipped in the bud long ago. Internet providers around here are dirty game players..probably every where you go. A stupid game that forces you to change providers every 2 years or so. But unethical business practices make them money I expect. It's just more work monitoring when your budgeting for long term goals...takes your time away, know what I mean. Never use to pay attention to it until noticing how it really adds up over time and how much they take from you. Guess I just hate having to monitor things and would rather give the benefit of doubt..trust. But man, those companies are the worst. I could go on, <end of rant />.

Thanks for the info white!

I know what you mean... I've been with CenturyLink for nearly 20 years now. Started out with ISDN back in the day if you remember what that was (128K variety). I have to call them every so often and threaten to leave them for Comcast. They offer new customers better deals than a guy who has been with them for 2 decades. Really pisses me off.

They usually wind up knocking my bill down 10 or 15% for a couple months. I really oughta switch. My connection is a 40mbps, and Comcast has a 100mbps going. I should actually be able to get Google Fiber before too long... then it's ***** to the wall.

Any further suggestions on which phone ? I don't mind the upfront cost if it is truly good and will last awhile. Trying to get least problematic with exceptional cross platform capabilities. The problem reading through others posts, complaints and reviews is that not all understand them too well, like me lol. It's evident, looking for a time savor I guess, a cheat lol.

Yea I'm with Comcast I use to have 75mbps, but knocked it down 25mpbs. Pretty much always streaming Netflix or Hulu in the background, podcasts or news in the office while working the net. 6mbps is all I need for streaming HD, what's left over is plenty for downloads and internet. I have a terabyte data ceiling which is usually enough. At least Comcast says 99% of the population will never exceed that per household. I almost maxed that out in December although I don't know why..it's just me here usually but I did have guests over the holidays. Someone was pulling data, a lot of it, probably one of the kids devices that were hear since I'm plenty secure from pirating. Yea I use to go for the most until I began monitoring usage lol. Yea, if your fully fiber capable. I've heard some problems can occure so make sure you are 100% there. The pipeline must be all fiber without bottlenecks I expect.

I don't watch any TV or channels or use their phone ports that they include with packages, but you pay for something you don't want regardless which cheeses me off. In other words, I just want a internet connect and of course you purchase that alone. It's why I looked into tethering. But even unlimited data plans isn't exactly that. You get unlimited data at first, but then after a short time that gets governed usually. Your getting data 100% of the time, just usually not what you require. Truly unlimited is hard to find.

Thanks for the offer AK! Not totally sure which rout to take yet, but it's looking like a new Droid. Lol, I have your address as well, want another IPhone for your collection lol. I have an IPhone 0 I think, well the first anyway. Not sure it's numbered.

Yea attempting a new smart purchase. If that isn't in the cards I might take you up on it...have plenty of time to sort it out, not there yet and looking for info/help for that educated decision I guess.

Samsung 3 ? That's a thought since it's torque app frindly..I think ? Have to check that out. Not looking to go cheap, focusing more on purchasing a truly good phone with longevity and compatibility with whats out there today.

Thanks again, but it's a work in progress...not sure what to do yet.
