JP......I just found a cold and it loves me. It doesn't want to leave.
I'm covid boosted, so I didn't get that luckily. This strain of flu is a real biatch. I've been down since Monday, and not doing much. You get very weak, quickly. Head cold, some in the chest. Nyquil is a man's best friend (sorry Magic and Mindy). Luckily, I feel better today, and hopefully I can get some crap done today I couldn't this week.

At the hospital right now. Wife thinks she was having a heart attack. Not sure yet, but looks more like an anxiety attack. We had just got home from a night out with my our Buddy's up the street. We first got to the neighborhood about 9:45 pm. There was an older gentleman that was walking down the main road somewhat gingerly with his golf clubs on his back. I mentioned that the situation didn't look right, my Buddy said, we oughta go check on him. So we did... my Buddy got out of the truck and talked to him and it became apparent he had dementia, or something similar. We got him in the truck and he told us he had been out hitting golf ***** and was on his way back him by the golf course. Well, there is a course about 2 miles from us so we proceeded to drive over there. Guy said "this doesn't look familiar at all". My Buddy got him to give us his license and the address said he lived clear down in Stansbury, which is 9 miles away. Far? Not really - but it's a freeway you gotta take to get there, and hauling golf clubs that far seemed odd. So we took him down there... Google Maps couldn't locate his house for us. So I spotted a Sheriff's truck at a house. We stopped and the Sheriff came out and knew the guy. They were neighbors up until August. Story is, the guy was living with his Wife that was taking care of him and she passed away in August. Due to his mental state, his children placed him in an assisted living center for individuals with memory loss, etc. The Sheriff's Wife told is which facility, and it turns out the place is about 1/4 mile from where we found him. He escaped from the facility. The cop knew the guys family and took him in and called his children to come grab him. I'm betting there's a care facility that will be getting their azz chewed out.
Anyway... I think it brought back a bunch of memories for the Wife, and gave her major anxiety.
Sorry.... long story.. thanks for reading.

Sorry to hear that White, fingers crossed she is ok and soon back home again
My Gran tried to do the disappearing act a few times here in the UK whilst she was in care, luckily the furthest she got was just outside the front gate of the place when she was spotted

Sorry to hear you're under the weather, AK, but glad you're on the upswing. It's said that laughter is good medicine. Maybe this will give you a chuckle.

Hope the wife is on the mend. I can't imagine going through that with a loved one. If you can't trust who's care there in, stress level will multiply. Very scary situation I expect.
