I wish some of my other stuff had one, I use them all the time... That way I don't forget where I set the impact down when working on something. It's too bad bottled water don't come with one.

Brew, that passenger bank 2 O2 is deceiving. It looks like it's in a great spot for access until you start trying to get it out. Then you realize that using a 6 point socket often times doesn't give you enough "swing" to move it.... usually touching the exhaust pipe, etc. A twelve point makes you nervous, especially if you've already busted a knuckle with that Lisle POS socket. It's really a PITA that looks simple, LOL.

I understood exactly what you meant in that post, BTW. The pinball wizard was in the Suzuki!
We have some wind going on as well, it's been raining for the last 24. Make sure the in line fuse for the Alt harness is seated well in holder. Other than that, the alt is probably on it's way out.

Which O2 socket do you use, the offset or the long slotted type ? How did you get it loose. I grab the wrench last, then I get it lol. Like you said, it looks like you can get it with a socket...not quite that easy lol.

Suzuki manufacturing jeeps back then was something of a surprise.. Ed's panning for gold transportation, - he's squeezed between mucho trees with that thing I expect.

I checked that fuse, halfazz. It was a downpour when I checked, but it did seem OK. I used the POS Lisle with the slot in it. Never got it to budge with that... just slammed knuckles. I'll get a pic of it later. Mine is pretty old.... I bought it when I still had my 86 GT, and I sold that in about 2001. The walls on mine seem a lot thinner than the pics in the link you posted.

On Ed's Suzuki, I wonder what they'll do to replace the drivers door? I got a chuckle when Matt was removing the glass, and he told Norm "I'll roll your window down for you". I was a little surprised to not see Rudy on that trip.... I suppose he stayed back to run the show.

The Wife has been sending me pics of all the wind damage around the neighborhood. Broken fences, downed trees, trampolines with new homes, basketball standards broken or tipped over, roof damage... and we have an advisory that it will be worse tonight, and then die out at around 9 pm. I sure hope so... I didn't sleep much last night. Went outside 3 times to check my $4it, then did a good investigation before I left for work (with a flashlight). I need to check my siding really good though, you can't really see it that well unless you get up to it. I wonder just who the hell pays for that if their tree damaged my house. I was told at one point that MY home owners would be liable, not theirs. Seems illogical to me.... it's not my tree. I can't go over there and cut it down like I'd like to.

Wow, just found out that UHP has closed I-80 from milepost 99 (my exit), all the way to the Nevada state line (99 miles away) to all semi's. There are several semi's that have blown over. Not a new occurrence, it happens pretty often there, but still.

I remember back in 1999, my Friend's Dad had gone out to Wendover NV to hit the casinos. On the way home he got in a wind storm like this, and the sand literally sand blasted the side of his brand new Plymouth Acclaim. It almost got totaled because of it. Broke out the passenger side windows too. He was so scared to stop and get slammed by other vehicles, he just muscled through it. I wish I had pics of that thing... it was messed up bad!

Yea , the offset or dual drive socket I posted earlier was the best I've used to date, -

Amazon Amazon

That one I like, but you still need a more elbow room vs a wrench. Other than the passenger side, it worked well.

Eds door, - They will go all out replacing that I expect, and go with Thompson's pressure treated or cedar to capture that rustic look.

I'm not sure about the tree. If it's dead, then yes, you should most definitely be able to do something about it. It's more of a safety concern then.

Yea they're not posting wind speeds yet out by you . I bet gusts are 60mph plus, the way it looks.

I just watched a live feed, and they said 60 to 70 mph.

Even though it's right next door, these people with the dead trees are hermits with zero social skills. Oughta be fun telling this dude his tree needs to go. I know the guy that lives behind him... he had to have the guy cut down a tree bordering their fence lines, and he told me it took forever. That reminds me.... the guy behind him, we usually keep tabs on their house from now until springtime. They have another home in southern UT they head to for winter. Caught some teenagers in their backyard riding skateboards down the railing on their porch last year, actually. Luckily his son lives really close, so he came over and got 'em out of there.

It would be cool if Paul fab'd up a door for Ed. I suppose Wednesday's Fab Rats episode will have some golden nugget content.

Damn... left work early, and got home just in time to notice the Wife in the back yard holding the fence because one of the posts broke in the wind. After that BS that I went through in the spring, you can bet I'll be using the metal reinforcements that I used on my neighbors fence. Gotta wait for the wind to die down though.... probably later in the week.

These things work really well.

Hey Thinkers!

I hope everyone is doing great out there today. I hope yall can help me solve this with yalls cumulative knowledge of 9.75 rear ends.

My rear brake calipers are rattling like they no longer want to be a part of my truck anymore. I'm assuming the pads are wrong or my calipers are just shot somehow because the 10mm backing bolts are tight.

Let me know what yall think if you have a minute.
