I said, "Oh, shoot, darn it."

Better than getting to the hotel 2.5 hours away without it, I guess.

Brew: that's a heckuva big undertaking as a first project. What about having a cover made locally? That way you can select the materials and know someone experienced stitched it up well?

Sorry the '98 may be on its way to the big parts yard in the sky. It was a good run, though, for sure. Yes, parking in the grass is *way* worse that concrete or even gravel, especially where you are with more rain and high humidity. The (partial) solution to that (and any long-term parking, really) is rolling out a tarp and parking over that. That's what I did with my Mustang when it was stored at the fairgrounds, and it wasn't uncommon to find moisture I the underside of the plastic even though it was indoors on concrete.

The trans issue reminds me: I need to pull the fill plug on my xfer case. I'm betting I'll find some Mercin V in there again, because the trans fluid was only halfway up the hash marks when I checked it last week. It's been quite a while since I drained and refilled it, though, so the output seal must still not be too bad (yet). It really should be changed, but man what a job.

I probably forgot t comment on something, but that was three days worth of chatter and my brain won't hold it all. 😄
The material I was interested in is too heavy for a cover that size unfortunately. I ordered a small roll of it tho, -32 L yrds @ 61" - for a few smaller projects.- I'll have to tape up the existing cover that was returned twice already in the last 3 years... this winter anyway. See how I do with the smaller stuff, before getting over my head lol.

Your Trans fluid leaches into the T -case? Sucks! Been lucky there. So that's the seal on other side?

The kids going to sell the 98 as is IF the trans isn't toast. If it's toast, I'll hall to the scrap yard and bring the wheels back to her place. Coppers only have 7000 miles on them. Those were installed about the same time the Expy/7700 big brakes went on. She can net some cash from those.

I haven't done either yet. I just have the battery on a maintainer at the moment. I hooked it back up briefly on Friday to do my "rev" video, but it's back on the maintainer. The lens covers for the bulbs feel a little brittle, so I need to either take some real caution or find the harness somewhere. My guess is down in the kick panel.

The rain all day Saturday really put me behind. I was going to cut out that panel and weld in the new patch panel. Hopefully I can find some time to get that done this week/weekend. I need this done and sealed up before winter. Unless I get a storage unit, then it doesn't matter.

LOL.... yeah, I think I'm up to date. Probably ought to talk to my doctor about all of that. I'd also like to see if she can sneak me in another pneumonia shot.

Yea there might be just a splice somewhere. Could be difficult to pinpoint.

So you have the patch panel then ? The whole piece, - looks like it's missing something on the bottom. Did the new panel come with that, iduno.... -rocker piece?
