I was watching a video yesterday.... found a really good channel in YT for fabbing your own body panels. He had some pretty cool tricks that I hadn't thought of (multiple vids). I'll try and find the one I meant to show you.
I know! Made me nervous when Rudy was rocking it. At the end, he's standing in Erda in that driveway. I can see the GSL and Stansbury Island in the background. He talks about going to Grantsville to see a horse with Lizzy. Technically, UMC is in Grantsville. I have three cousins that live there... nice little horse community, and lots of riding (ATV, UTV, etc.) to do over there. LOL... as I am typing, I just got this message.
I'll have to sub that channel and check it out.
Yea Lizzy was looking to buy a horse for someone, I forget who it was for. Small world ehh.
I installed my upper control arms, lower ball joints and inner and outer tie rod ends last weekend. Just got it aligned today and drove it around. I'm amazed how little steering I have to do now. Quite an improvement. The new control arms are noticeably beefier than the stock ones. I should have taken better pics but you all have probably seen all this before many times.
I'm doing the same this weekend. Same exact list, plus Pitman and idler arms. How long did it take you?
A couple or 3 actual work hours per side. The second side goes faster because you just learned what not to do on the 1st side. I watched Ford Teck Makulaku or whatever beat the lower ball joint out with a hammer. I thought I could do the same. HA! Don't waste your time, just borrow the 4x4 ball joint tool from your local parts house. Also be ready to cut the pitman arm off, check YouTube for details. Make sure you have 18, 21, 22, 27 and 35mm sockets, an impact, a breaker bar and your patience. Some of the replacement castle nuts are not the same size as the one you took off. I think I used a 24mm in there somewhere also. Watch the videos, several of them have just 1 tip or trick that helps in the heat of battle. Good Luck, it's worth it in the end.

Sounds like I have the same game plan. Thanks for the advice!

I religiously watch MORR and Fab Rats. Paul from Fab Rats was out this way not too long ago either. Matt and Paul met doing demolition derby's, and there are quite a few derby drivers that live nearby me. I'm guessing that's how they know the guys around here. Just a guess.... but I'm pretty sure of it.

I'm not sure who MORR is, looked it up and there's quite a few MORR's on the tube. Couldn't pinpoint that one. I catch most of Matt and Pauls stuff. Yea, I've seen the demolition derby vids , well Matts vid of it anyway. Those guys have a blast lol. Your probably right.
I think that trans line piece is going to show up tomorrow. The 5 quart jug of Merc V already showed up. Suppose I better find my trans funnel or pick one up. Looks like Friday morning, - attempt to get her move again.
