Thinking
It actually "appears" that it might be a vinyl sticker. I need to look at it harder when I get home.
Brew, I think you told me that you're a Jeff Beck fan... he played for Ozzy's new song.

Fuel level was exactly at half mark today in 10th Gen F150.
Went to fill up at Costco and it took 31.2 L of fuel.
If the fuel tank is at half mark, doesn't that mean there's 46 L of room for additional fuel ?
Something doesn't add up here...
* Note fuel tank is spectra and Motorcraft Fuel Pump is new.

GR... you need to think of that as a reference. It's not anywhere near exact. I always get to 200 miles by a half tank on mine, but there is zero chance in hell that thing is getting 400 miles out of a full tank.

I feel the manufacturer does this to be very conservative on the tolerance of the gauge and the sensor while keeping people from running out with a gauge showing fuel and to allow the pump to pick up fuel while the truck is on a hill.

31.2 ltr, i get 8.75 gal.
Tanks had a 10% air void for expansion, that w patience, could be filled. It's 20% now, and harder to fill. Plus you have about 10% of your 25 (standard tank) left as a "Jesus factor."
22.5 gal, 11.25 half tank versus your 8.75 gal...
Meh - operator headspace.
But, v good to know. Monitor, improve on realization of accuracy, and/or lack thereof.
Have a long trip? You can get 2 more gallons in, maybe 4.
