Thinking
My Buddy with the trans shop has a RAV4 that is a "no pay". He's had it for about 10 months now, and can't contact the owner. If he applies for the title, I'm sure he'll sell it to me cheap.
Well, good luck with all that. I imagine you'll find good deals, IF your willing to mess with it...and if it's worth your time. Not sure there. You can do it all yourself tho, that's always a big plus.
Mannn, why did I post in an oil thread, what was I thinking lol.

Hahahahaha... oil is the "great debate", isn't it? Nobody can seem to accept the TSB without a conspiracy theory. Like Ford got in on some commission deal for every quart of 5W-20 that gets sold henceforth.
I think my big question I have on the Escape is with the air bags.... As I recall, those need to get reset (even if I replace all of the components. Not too sure if anything I have will do that... I have Forscan, an old version of IDS, Torque Pro, and a couple handhelds.

On the subject of oil, the only change I've made was going from the Motorcraft Synthetic Blend to a Full Synthetic. After watching the Project Farm tests on the Kirkland Full Synthetic, it's a no brainer. Which, by the way is on sale right now. $46.99 shipped for 20 quarts!

So the bags did go off ? I know you said it needed them earlier. Guess I was thinking of truck, you have to something pretty dang hard for those to go off. A guy at work totaled a 1 ton Ford, hit hard enough the topper ripped off the box above the hold-downs and landed on the hood. Bags didn't go off, he drove the truck home. He wasn't going to, got tired of waiting for the tow truck lol. Insurance comp totaled it though.

I'm not too sure if it's bent yet.... I'm kind of wondering if the hood being crumpled is giving the illusion. I'll know more tonight. I'm guessing impact was at about 30-35 mph. The speed limit is 40 there, and she did get into the brakes just before impact. I just hope this makes her a better driver. I'd like to get her in to a defensive driving course.
My email I got from the officer at 1 a.m. did not include a citation (they were BUSY last night). The insurance told me today that she most likely won't get one if it was not issued last night.
