He's a rescue pup from the local animal shelter where my wife volunteers. Officially, he's still a foster, but we'll be making him a formal part of the family on Wednesday. Seven and a half weeks old, and 12 pounds already! Gulp!

Yes.
Flow:
Inverter running -> battery low -> start engine for time -> recharge battery -> stop engine -> repeat as needed
Too many trees (and I like them so not cut them down) for solar.
.. and the generators are too loud.
Doable... but not ecoomical.in that the trk uses a lot of energy idling compared to the alternatir output, & and idling engines do not add a lot of output. What size is your invertor? 500w won't run any common appliance yet pulls 40A. Invertors shutdown around 11-11.5 Vdc. Newer 2000w generators can be had quite quiet. Honda($) and Preditor make several. Neat thing is that w 2, you can sync them to have 4000w. Dig for the dB spec. Most seem to be rated at 23 ft w 60 down to 50dB. Each 3dB is a doubling or halving of sound level. Then, make the doghouse to reflect noise away, or up if sides are 45° like around an airport.

Lab /Lab mix, both are usually really good dogs. Fun part of the family...smart as well.
Congrats Ohio!
Thanks, Brew. He's a Lab mix, but we're not sure what the other ingredients are. To satisfy our curiosity, we might spring for a DNA test when he has blood drawn for his routine checkup.

Yep, very cool dogs...once they're taught to crap in the neighbors yard, it can't be undone....
