Thank you White. My plans are to go to the yard Tuesday if it does some drying up around here. Already have a post it note in the car and will add the part number for the trip.

I think the newer units are variable speed though. The one I have is a two speed. IMO, the two speed is a lot easier to deal with.

If you're interested, this is the schematic I used to send out with the kits that I sold on Ebay.

This is the Volvo relay that I would send out. I have 4 or 5 of these around.... They came on 92-97 Volvo's - the 740, 850, 940, 960. I've got one for the F150 that's pretty sweet. Later on, Volvo started adding breakers and fuses right in the harness. I've got one to upgrade The Eight Nine some day too. I can get a pic if you're interested. There are at least two different part numbers on these relays, but any of them will work just fine. For a dual temp sensor, BMW and VW both made them. I prefer the BMW's though.

I just got in Amazon to find the continuous duty relay that I like, and realized it's been over seven years since I did this mod on The Eight Nine!

I appreciate this White. The control pack came with a fan controller but I'm not sure if it's a 2 speed or variable speed controller. I've been told both but there were 3 revisions to the control pack with no indication from Ford about what the revisions were:

My only issue with the electric fans, is the controllers never seem to last more than a few months. I’ve got access to a few Windsor’s and Taurus’s at my local junkyard but the controllers cost more than the fans would and the potential gas mileage saving.

Good morning thinkers! Your morning chuckle. (Note that it's not an F150.)

That is EXACTLY why I use the setup I do. It is rock solid, and all OEM pieces scabbed together.

I guess the 98 bit the dust, it's sitting at Home Depot loaded with decking boards lol. It's still under my insurance, have a tow truck in route. I guess it'll take a jump but won't run for long, battery light is illuminated, all I got to go on from here and so far. Most likley the alternator. The ALT is the original, hasn't been replaced yet, - battery is 11 years old... Going to try to make it over there tonight, they're building a deck and still need the thing. Man that truck has been nickle dimming me lately.
