the next project is making the plug and play backup camera. The only plug and play part will be the power and ground wires but at least I won’t be having to screw up my original harness for it.
Glad that it worked for you like it did for me. I'm not sure of your year, so did you have to solder the new ends on the clock spring or was yours the same.

A brand new gator clockspring fixed that issue for me. The only qualm I had with your method was it’s part of the airbag system so if I screw it up then no airbag when I needed it most. So I paid the $80 for a new one.
Then to avoid cutting the original wiring harness I took old connectors out of a donor truck and a donor Lincoln and basically made an adapter. Ford>Lincoln.

Sorry white. I'd asked a question seeing if you could ask your transmission buddy about. The pins for the clutch have a 0.004 press fit and that seemed excessive so I wondered if your buddy had any info on that. There's nothing in the manuals or clutch install sheets about putting them in. I didn't want to hit the flywheel with a torch so I wondered about liquid nitrogen. I knew the press would put them in but was concerned about a press puckering the edge of the holes. The place closed at noon here so I just went ahead and got a quart and the pins dropped right in. You hadn't answered by then so I deleted the post but forgot I also tagged you so I suspect you also got tag alert.

I don't ever get tag alerts. When I respond to a tag, it's because I stumbled upon it. Is it an email you get? Errrrr??

No emails. It shows up like a PM does at the bell in the upper right hand corner of the page. Maybe it's not a tag when someone's full board name is used in a message? It's what I thought a tag was. How did you know the deleted post was for you than?

So today was an interesting day... our offer was accepted on a home (exciting) and then my truck left me stranded 40 minutes from home (upsetting). I got these three codes B1352 B1318 B1428. Do you think its just my wiring harness is faulty at the battery terminals or do i need to dive deeper into the electrical connectors? It was late and I didnt stick around the truck long enough to search these codes before I got home so I wasnt able to check the cables while I was there. Just trying to arm myself with some possible "quick fixes" or points culprits to look for when I get back to my truck tomorrow. New truck may be in my future if this isnt a simple quick fix... altho itll have to wait till we get moving on our house.
*Edit* also wondering if maybe its the battery. Would a dead cell potentially cause this problem?
*Edit2* Im seeing that the B1352 code could be related to the turning off the door chimes.. which I have done if that makes a difference

Anyway hope everyone has been doing alright. Ive skimmed some pages from time to time but havent really had much time lately.

LONG VERSION:
truck stumbled heavily in parking lot, shut it off to open a locked gate, truck then wouldnt start. Cranked but no explosions happening. Was low on gas so ran to gas station hoping maybe it was lower than expected, had some bad gas, or picked up some gunk. Fresh 5 gals and then "fired off" when i first cranked but stumbled heavily and died almost instantle. Pressing the gas would kill it quicker, it would not idle. Just cranked. Let it sit for a few hours came back and rolled it into a parking spot, truck then started right up. Shut it off and finished my work, came back another hour later, Cranked first two times without starting then started on the 3rd time. Drove it 200yrds from the parking lot without issue then stumbled and died. Backed into a parking spot at the local diner where it died. Added 5 more gals and nothing. While cranking, on the fourth try, engine would barely turn over then on the 5/6th time it was dead dead and wouldnt turn over. Battery seemed dead. Left it and went home. Came back hours later to tow it back to the parking lot I was originally at. Got in and turned on the key, radio was in default mode which tells me it completely lost power at some point (so maybe its a battery or terminal issue after all?) Try to start it and it fired right up, drove it to the parking spot, shut it off and back to the just cranking and if it fires up it will stumble instantly and die but more often than not it wont even start just keep cranking. Originally thought it was a fuel problem since I started this whole day below a 1/4 tank but now im guessing its electrical somehow.

It sounds like a mix of both. Sounds like vapor lock and an electrical issue. I’d replace the ignition switch as one of your codes comes from a faulty ignition switch. Then see where that takes you.
