Good morning all! Good to see you stopped by, Bear. One of these days you ought to pull up a chair and stay a while

So, the DMV answered me this morning. They are having me get the VIN to see if it is eligible.... but, they say that if I get the current title owner to fill out the duplicate title app, have the lien release, and a BOS to me.... I should be good to go. I was really hoping to get this thing to me house today, but it doesn't look promising.

Yep, that's a blast from the past. Still works fine for an old school driver when the light isn't doing it.

Turns out his name is on the title. So he can apply for the duplicate himself. So this scenario is exactly what is going to happen. I am giving him half tonight, then the other half when he gets the title. I'm not too worried about it because the guy lives right by me, even though the car is about 50 miles away. Can't wait to post pics..... but it's a diamond in the rough. But, she'll come around.

Mann, that sucks. I still do the registrations thru the mail...sent them in a month early and get an email, - due to convid, registrations are extended to July. They arrived by mail two weeks back tho. Anyway, yea, - they couldn't pull anyone over for expired plates...good thing!

When I got the new sticker it said across the top I had 30 days to put it on. That was a surprise. She went in to assisted living 3 weeks ago and getting the tags was a last minute rush passed to me with neither one of us knowing what was going on at the SOS office. Did the mail renewal too until the Kiosk machines were put in a few years ago. Every year it took longer and longer to get to the counter after grabbing your number and waiting your turn so the mail renewal and kiosks were good to see.
