expecting good results. It on 2wire at 1200 rpms and noisy as hell lol. I can dial that down if needed or go 3 or 4 wire. Guess I expected too much.
Yea this thing keeps going and going as well, the processor (4core) isn't loaded down at all, it's just running hot.
Perhaps it's time to retire her lol.
BTW- This is the fan on the processor , -
Great fan, never had to replace that one and it's quiet.
Perhaps the PS is going bad ? Haven't checked the fan there. It might be sucking heat from the PS lol.

I just got on Tiger Direct and looked up my old order... had to go through a few of them to find mine. At that point in time, I built several PC's on the side for people. My order was 6/29/10, so this thing is almost 10 years old now. It may have started out as Windows 2000.... then it graduated to XP, and now Windows 7 is on it. If it didn't have about 8TB of data on it, I'd retire it, LOL. I've actually been eyeing one of the old Dell Optiplex 7010 or 9010's (LFF) to use as a file server. I'm not a big Dell fan, but those things are rock solid PC's.
Yea this set up has been my favorite for quite awhile, paired with a couple high res 24's. It's getting old, but can't say it's clunky yet. Hell some of the DELL laptops run hotter than thing does lol. A DELL fan here, AFA longevity.

Alright new question for the more knowledgeable. I know the keyless entry door keypad is a module behind the drivers side kick panel. I, having manual door locks, do not have this, nor the key fob to unlock. I’m adding door lock actuators and would like to add a keypad to the truck as a last resort for locking myself out of the truck/ convenience. I have access to a key pad door handle and a module. Is it possible to only wire the keypad to working? As In no keyfob, only the keypad works. I know I will have to run the 8 wire harness through the door, what else? If this even is possible.
edit: found it, it works! I will be doing this soon!

Well, there you go, Efarmer! I'm bookmarking that for future reference. Now, if I could do two things, I'd absolutely love mine:
1) Disarm my aftermarket alarm when unlocking via the keypad. I'm not able to find a disarm input on my alarm, and the company looks to have gone T/U. I could figure something out with a spare fob, but even eBay wants $70 for one of the things.
2) Have the truck *not* turn on the interior lights with the touch of any button on the keypad. I tinted my windows partially since it makes it difficult to see what's in the truck. Push one of the buttons, though, and all bets are off.

I could swear I've seen a tape, pressure sensitive, that can be placed on a panel, and when the underside of something (like a spoiler, for instance) is pressed down, a mark is made on the tape (or the tape changes color in that area, etc.) Is this just wishful thinking, or is there such a thing? For this single need, I'll probably just put a little grease on the surface of the screw boss, and let it transfer to the decklid as an indicator. I was hoping not to introduce grease that I'll need to clean of into the equation. A small bit of Silly Putty is another option.

The illumination appears to be by design, though I don't know what the engineers could have been thinking.
EDIT: I guess it would give the owner the ability to see into the vehicle and determine if anyone was lurking inside before making entry. In my opinion, this would have been better as an operator-set option like remote unlock first-press "driver-only" or "all" unlock.
From the owner's manual:
"Unlocking and locking the doors using keyless entry
To unlock the driver’s door, enter the factory set 5-digit code or your
personal code. Each number must be pressed within five seconds of each
other. The interior lamps will illuminate after pressing the first control on
the keypad."
There'd be no way to defeat this that I can think of, because every key press must register with the RKE module.
