plus then you'll have a spare boat anchor
Went to adjust my headlights tonight... they were quite a bit low. The top one was almost impossible to get the wrench on, then after adjusting it I had to loosen the headlight to get the wrench off. Then the inner bolt I had no room to ratchet. The thing just wouldn't move enough for a click. I guess the aftermarket harleys are just not quite OEM specs lol.
Also I parked my truck against the wall, taped off dead center, backed away 25 ft and readjusted to center. That an acceptable way? I read either do it that way or just measure your headlight height and measure that on the wall and then adjust

This tool makes adjustments much easier: https://www.lislecorp.com/specialty-...tchet-for-ford
As for the procedure, here's a good process demo.
The "dot" he mentions is the centerpoint of the bulb and reflector.
EDIT: The "use tape to mark it on a wall if you don't have an alignment board" starts at about 8:00.

It's been cold here the past 2 weeks and will continue until into February. Strange. We haven't seen cold like this is 20 years. Sure short little stints, but this year it's definitely clear skies again and colder temps. Like our summer past. Lots of sun.
I took Red on a 160 mile trip yesterday. I filled up with gas before leaving then took off. When I got back I did a fill up and got 15.3 mpg, in cold temps, for the run. It was warmed up when I left so the cold weather warm up idle didn't affect the results. Not bad for running 70 or a little over for the whole trip. These numbers aren't bad as I thought they might be in the cold. When warm it should be nearer to 16 I would think, and 65 would be easier on the fuel usage also. So, all in all, I'm happy with the way he's performing.

we are supposedly on the winter mix right now, so yes, the mpg will be lower. I forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder. That might mean 17mpg this summer then. That would be a wow. lol That said, we still are using real gasoline, not the e85 or corn anywhere.
