Thinking
I could use those forearm things. The feet haven't been cold since I began buying good boots. The hands, that's a different story..I shove a hand-warmer packet in each if I'm going to be out in the cold more than a few hours. Those packets last all day and work great.
But yea, if I let the hands go cold, it's more painful warming them back up...hate that!

of course snow for us, 2" to 5", is nothing compared to you guys with real snow in ak, mi and ut. We are just a bunch of snow pansies here.

Just got home.... all of the snow is in SLC. Hardly anything at home.
There are wrecks all over the damn place. It hasn't snowed for a couple weeks, so we've all got to learn how to drive in the snow again.

I hesitate going in to another "getting old" thing but I use to enjoy ice fishing for perch and walleye on the lake. It reached a point where once the hands got wet that was it. It wasn't about cold anymore. It had become all about hurt and pain and sometimes nothing worked warming them up. It was all about just waiting it out until warmed up happened. What happened was I don't ice fish anymore. It also doesn't help that it's rare the lake freezes anymore. I've heard stories even about tip up town being a disaster.
Since Sept of 18, my hands have been easy to get cold. When the IV''s for my bleeding were inserted (ER) they nice my radius nerve and my left hand is a basket case some times. Typing was a real biatch to relearn. My Right hand is the one that goes cold, immediately when outside. Even at 60 it can go cold as hell.
The hand warmers do well for me lately. I'm so happy for those lil' pads.

Yea, those hand warmers really do the job.
If I became stranded out in the tundra, the first thing to go would be the hands. They would freeze and most likley break off at the wrists I expect. I'd go down for the count if that happened. I couldn't endure life without my wizz and crevice tools lol.

Watched a little Matts of road recovery earlier. He was saying his hands rarely get cold, doesn't wear gloves much doing his thing because of the hassle that goes with. I was just thinkin, must be nice!
