Thinking
No offense to anyone but a lot of the recent questions rub me the wrong way. Many of the questions involve people working on their trucks in ways that don't make any sense IMO. For example, I think most people pulling an intake manifold bolts would research and know what they need to know before pulling it. The order of removing and installing and the required torque for example. I wouldn't mind the question if it began with, "I'm going to pull . . ." or "I've never pulled an intake manifold before now. Do I need to pick up a new gasket for putting it back together?" Or, why would anyone go looking for a fuel pump module without first at least going to Rockauto or someplace to see what a new one costs before tearing in to one if it even exists. Again JMO, but if someone wants to go tearing in to something and get half the job done before finding out what they're getting in to then have at it and I'll watch. These aren't jobs that require tearing something apart to find the problem. Besides, I'm busy sanding hardwood floors, a job I hate, so I don't have much patience right now for people that do before thinking. Maybe it's just me but this is my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
I once saw a sign in a Ford Plant tool and die shop that read, "In this shop a bigger hammer is not the solution." Metaphorically this seems to apply to many of the recent questions. "Codes? We don't need no stinking codes." works for many too. A scanner is a required tool now. They're not a luxury. Then again there's what you recently confessed to, delete the reply if it's ignored. Anyone paying attention here should be aware, if they're thinking, to prioritize replies by the name on the response. Nobody is always right, but 8 or 9 out of 10 is pretty good for an out-of-sight problem on a message board. Once more, JMO.
Then again, it's the season where some are busy finding that bulb that's preventing the string from working. And usually that means every string and multiple bad bulbs. The joys of the season.

Good Post River, totally agree. It's like they've never put anything together before.
Well, I guess the kid had to move the truck today. She reports it's not leaking under the tank or at all sitting. But when she fired it up it, the gas odor came right away and it was strong. She also said it took it's time start. So yea, has to be a line leak. Probably by the filter. I suppose I'll fix that this weekend.

That's been my experience anyway. They often don't want to go back on any easier also.
I converted that set up to stainless barb fittings within the first 50,000 miles I put on that truck...I'm hoping it's leaking there, easy fix. Never has before tho.
