I've been following a 10th generation Coyote swap on another forum. What's interesting about this particular swap is the guy doing it is documenting the wiring harness changes interfacing the old J1850 SCP system with the current mandated OBDII protocols. Something 5 years ago was argued by many couldn't be done.
Anyway, the guy is also installing EAPS on our 10th gen front steer suspension. He's now documenting the extensive issues he's dealing with. It would have been a much better option to use rear steer like is used on the Mustang. Front and rear steer is about if the steering linkage is in front of or behind the axle line. I've seen rear steer spindles for the 10th gen but can't remember from whom. I thought maybe Fatman or Alston but they don't list it. Does anyone know who offered them?
Edit: Sorry for the oldtimers moment, knuckles not spindles.
Heck you can keep making those memories now too lol
Sure you can but at 65 they're just not the same as they were as a teenager. It's been a long time since I felt like I was getting away with something.
So autozone hit a new low today... asked for help finding a return spring, said it needs to be 14". Asks me what vehicle. I replied (politely) it won't be in the system it's for a 74 and not a vehicle specific spring. He continues to enter the info and tell me "yeah we have that spring" shows me the drum return springs... again I say no that's for the drum I just need the e brake cable spring.... he types brake return spring and says this is all we have *shows same drum spring* I say I'll just go check the wall (didn't at first cz o Reilly's didn't have it either) ... sure enough 5seconds later I find two springs that should work. (Side note I might have to go back and buy the stiffer one idk yet) but then I comb over the HELP section for bleeder caps (forgot to buy them at o Reilly's lol) nothing! So I begrudgingly go back up and ask if they can look up some bleeder caps as I didn't see any over there. Kid asks for what truck!? Really!? THEN he doesn't know what I'm talking about so he's asking what it is I'm looking for, he can't find anything... asks the manager how to look up bleeder screws... manager says type bleeder screws. Then he tells me he can get them ordered... I explained I just needed the rubber caps *blank stare* .... I then say "ok I'm ready to just check out"
Looks like I'll be picking up the bleeder caps when I run back to o Reilly's. I hate that my local AZ has gone so far down hill. It's only 5mins away. The employees used to be super helpful guys that knew their stuff... now it's children who probably have only touched a car when riding in mommy's car driving them to work Now I'll be making the longer drive to oreillys.
I've got a guy that I've gotten to know really well at the NAPA by my house. When I needed a resistor, he went through the Balkamp catalog to find the closest he could find because they would have to order the Toyota part. It goes to the cooling fan (radiator), and this guy found me one that is for an old Mopar ignition system. It wound up costing me about 12 bucks instead of being over 100 for the original part. It was a slightly lower value, but it has worked flawlessly for over 18 months now.

Yeah my local Napa is pretty good. Ran by two brothers who know their chit... and they hire like minded people. I go to them for more important items but try to keep the simple stuff to the cheaper stores.
Go through the drive through, give them a ten for a $5.27 order, then try to hand them an additional $.35 and tell them you want a five back, and watch their head explode. Several times I've said, "OK. Just give me the change for the $10, but keep your drawer open." Then I hand them four ones and a handful of change ad say, "Now, can I please have a five-dollar bill?"
