So with front end solid, Fox Shocks and those 7700 calipers it should ride and brake golden. My bar crank is 22.5" so it's not too bad over chuck holes and sharp elevation changes. Since I added the shocks I can hear the front end hit the hard stuff but I don't feel it. When it hits it's thump vs that nasty bang....know what I mean, it hits them like a new ride would. It banged with the Bilstiens, - at times the front end would skip to one side or the other. So yea, she's riding much better now than did a year ago.
Interesting about the Bilstiens. I've had mine on for a year now and ran them on my 03 when I had it. I don't get that same feeling from them. Roads around me are pretty good but when I'm in Tampa they have some pretty rough roads. Truck seems to ride through it pretty well.

It's a 4600 and cranked bars thing. They are too short. The Fox Shocks were over an inch taller and fit like a glove. I'm only at 22.5" which gives me an even 38" from ground to fender on a completely level surface..I'm under the impression the Bilstiens wore out up top after awhile. No leaks though. The Fox shocks being much larger in diameter and longer really made a difference, close to night and day.

*********** smashed my window for a lousy radar detector. Can't wait to find out how much this is going to cost.

And here I was just thinking we were evolving past that a little. In fact talking about that with family and friends over the holidays.

That sucks DrillRig...just the window right, they didn't screw up the door or the dash ?

Someone made off with my HD hitch cover while at work one day. That cheesed me off, got that in Florida during bike week one year. Solid chrome plated steel...took my cool pin as well.

A bunch of guys and I use to meet at a barn every weekend (Mustang Acres) to go dirt bike riding. Many tools in that barn and it was ripped off. I was the newest member at the time so I was questioned lol. The gent that owned the place was very well liked. We found those poor perpetrators in McDonalds parking lot one night. Long story short we got everything back and then some lol. By "and then some" I mean when everything was getting put back/organized the owner and few others would question , - "huh, I don't remember having this" or "where did this come from" ?? Which worked out okay since we also acquired a big Waterloo double tool chest. That heavy bastid went in my truck (I helped move). Needless to say Justice was served!

I have a few other stories but this one might help you DrillRig. Over the years and on these truck forums, same thing or close happened to a user and he ended getting his stuff back. Perhaps some of you may recall this. He caught the thief trying to sell his stuff on Craig's List. He had the police involved and agreed to meet the seller in a parking lot. The thief was busted and his stuff was returned.

Anyway perhaps a regular window place can replace that glass for yuh for around 100 or less.

Ya I was pretty pissed. The wife woke me up as soon as the alarm went off. I was outside locked and loaded under a minute and they were already gone.

Honestly it's my own damn fault for leaving something valuable in plain sight. I'm thankful they didn't take my garage door opener or the title to my 10th gen that I forgot to take out.

I'm keeping my eyes open but I doubt I'll ever see the detector again.

My budget is very tight right now as is, insurance was less than helpful and shops charge way too much. I found a replacement glass at a salvage yard for 65 bucks. I'll be fixing it this afternoon. That is after I spend an hour vacuuming the truck out.

A week after moving in where I'm at now my truck was broken in to. The kid jammed a screwdriver in the lock. Took my .38, toll pass and a can of Stocker's. The kid bolted for some reason, he left all the **** he took from the neighborhood in my truck. Cops got him and he has his last court date sometime this month. Unfortunately, I won't see anything in return. Tired of ****ty people taking from the hard working ones. Takes everything I have not to knock the kid out.

I've had my vehicles broke into so damn many times. I feel your pain. My current Mustang has been broke into 4 times... every time the passenger window too. One time (when I still lived at home) four teenage kids pryed the window frame back so they could hit the unlock button. My Dad walked out on them... they had the steering column all apart, and the ignition lock cylinder was sitting in the console.... they were going to steal it. One of the kids was caught, and his buddies had left their parents car sitting across the street, running.

I actually got like 400 dollars out of them and they spent time in juvenile detention. Also got to help the cop break into the trunk of the car they left because he had to inventory the car before it got hauled off. I beat the **** out of that trunk and bent it up real good too.
