Just passed my first hurdle of school.... chapter 1 test complete....
I missed two, and both were because I didn't read the question all the way through - bad habit of mine...... you know.... "read the first few words, and I know what the rest says" deal? Yeah, that's me - to a T.
Pisses me off, but I got an A- still.
Aced my quiz 15 minutes before though which had the exact damn questions that I missed - just worded differently.

I guess I didn't post saying that I thought that Whitey's Escape was nice. Also that 2100's axle was looking good. Sorry guys. I thought I did but it looks like I deleted the post. My fingers are still not back to normal, so I hit the wrong buttons now and again. Damn
It's a pretty slick little vehicle. It's weird to drive at first.... it's almost like it is trying to predict your next move. Even a slight increase in pedal pressure, and it's downshifting. The Wife just took it on a trip.... 202 miles on 6 gallons of gas ain't bad for an SUV.
I have an off the wall question that I hope yall can help me with.
If I dont have my transfer case engaged can I leave my front axle engaged and be safe for 35 mph speeds? The speed is arbitrary but having to stop and disengage the front axle with the cable lock every time I need to make a hard turn in 4x4 can be a little annoying.
I agree, it should be just like the old locking hub system. You'd lock the hubs and run all winter like that so if you needed to engage 4x4 you didn't have to get out to lock or unlock the hubs. Mpg suffer but im sure it'd be negligible for what you're doing.
