Off topic, but is it possible to recalibrate those analog speedo? My dad's truck came with 235s or 245s and he put on 265s so it's slow a few mph

from what I've seen on it you have to swap out the gear on the speedometer to the one matched to the tires

The 97-98 speedo's are still electrical. They do not have a cable attached. Just the ODO is analog. These trucks get speed from the speed sensor is the trans/transfercase along with the ABS sensors. The ABS module compares them and thats how it controls ABS.

Is it the same, or similar to a VSS sensor for an aftermarket electronic speedo?

Anyone needs 8 thread PI cylinder heads ?
Would be good for rebuilder cores for port work and cams.
$150 for both

man I wish I could grab those and do a PI swap... but I'm not in the situation to have the truck being down while my jeep is down already as is. and my dad wouldn't want me tearing into the truck that deep right now anyways

Gps for a speedo, you can get them used for next to nothing lol
