It seems like building a same gen Modular would almost always have a better Hp/$ ratio. I can't imagine the idea of "being different" a worthwhile reason unless it was a massive Hp or high end show build.
Why couldn't you use a similar model coyote trans? Or you could use a trans controller like @ibd2328. Sounds like a lot of extra headaches if you ask me. Just build the 2V & slap a blower on it. I promise you won't be disappointed.

it does kind of seem like everyone is swapping lightning top ends or motors completely in their trucks now, it's not as uncommon of a sight as it used to be.
