Lol. Nice! Love that body style. I had a friend with a 79 with a built 401. Was a badass ride. You have the 304 or 360?

It was actually a 4.2 I6 with a 3 speed manual! Top speed was between 55-60 somebody geared the hell out of it. Traction willing you could let the clutch out and climb something damn near vertical. I think it had Dana 44s front and rear

Sweet. That 258 straight 6 is a torque monster. All low end. I had the 360/T-18/Dana 20 combo. Granny gear was crazy low. Even in 2-hi it would only go maybe 5 mph at 6k rpm.

Ya it was torquey as hell. And that's sweet man, when I had it I always wanted to do the 360 swap. Now I'm in here lurking in the background taking in all the info to go boosted on my 5.4 lol

LOL. I'm almost there. Trying to get the gears done soon. Then just a couple more parts and the charger will be mounted.

Wow you are getting there. I just bought my first house, once I'm all settled in I'll buy another engine and slowly gather parts and build it. My fiancé is also 6mo prego so I'm not sure what kind of rush I will be in to start building an engine lol.
