Has anyone ever installed the engine oil heaters that stick on the pan?

Cold weather start up. Basically a block warmer. Not that I'd know anything about it. I mean, I live in Florida for Pete sake.

Thanks for your help out choosing this one. One of the few I could find that had green display with digital and sweep and analog option.

No problem brother. I really like that set. Gonna look good in your truck. Especially with your custom gauge pods.

I didn't know how effective they were, basically a cheap crankcase heater. I've also seen ones that replace the drain plug with a basic hearing element

Edit: I know a pan or an oil heating device is much more effective than an actual block Heater that replaces a freeze plug

man a drain plug heater rod would be a nifty little thing! Have you seen them? A google search only resulted in pads that are attached to the pan.

I'll probably be going with the adhesive pan heater

My truck sounds terrible on really cold mornings, especially when the the oil has the viscosity of molasses
