2011+ 55-60mph 5.0 Shuddering and EcoBoost Engine Miss/Loss of Power - Possible Fixes
my shudder was present when i bought my truck in july 2011. it shuddered until it got cold and the shudder went away. we have warm days once in awhile and the shudder comes back then. now i just have to wait til april and see if the shudder is full time again. i would have had a leveling kit and tires and wheels on long ago. if ford doesnt fix this, this truck is history and so is ford in my garage.
i had a medium sized trailer on today and the studder was very noticbile at 55 and in 6th.....but i also noticed it while in 5th at low rpms wierd
Although my 6th gear studder is usually just that, I had it happen a hand full of times where the truck shook violently where it woke up my passengers
dealer tomorrow

Took mine in today for the shutter issue, oil change, and tire rotation (can't beat THE WORKS package for $30). My shutter symptoms are the same as the majority of yall and started around 5k miles. I never mentioned what I read on the tread while talking to the service advisor concerning the tsb just to see what they could come up with on their first shot at a fix. They kept it for 4 hours and called me to pick it up. They performed tsb 12-2-10 pcm flash and instructed me to drive it for 2 weeks to allow the tranny to re-adapt. It it was still there bring it back after the 2 weeks. We chatted for a few minutes and reaffirmed that ford was well aware of this problem and told me the pcm flash was stage 1 of 3. So I had to ask what stage 2 entailed if stage 1 failed to address the problem. He said stage 2 involves pulling the tranny pan and checking or replacing solenoids. Sounds like it maybe the tranny after all
So far the trucks runs better after the flash but its hard to tell a whole lot after only driving 10 miles and no hills.

Just counted the info page is up to 54 people. Lets just say the average truck is somewhere around 40,000 between xlts, lariats, platinums, and what other packages are out there. Thats 2,160,000 dollars worth of trucks that have shuddering issues, and thats only the 54 people that have posted on this website. Ford may want to move a little faster on this issue. Im sure there are more out there and it sounds like they are still rolling off the assembly line with the same issue.
Are we sure that 12-2-10 doesn't just put the computer back in its virgin state to buy Ford time?
Mine ran great, had great mpgs, and no shudder when I got it. Then developed rough idle, mpgs went to *****, and shudder showed up after "it learned".
If they put it back in its virgin state, it will probably run like new again, my mpgs and shudder will probably improve until it starts learning again?
How 'bout we just disable "learn mode?"
