Mine ran great, had great mpgs, and no shudder when I got it. Then developed rough idle, mpgs went to *****, and shudder showed up after "it learned".

If they put it back in its virgin state, it will probably run like new again, my mpgs and shudder will probably improve until it starts learning again?

How 'bout we just disable "learn mode?"
i wonder if there IS a way to do that. cars and trucks shouldn't be able to do this anyways.

At the dealership right now hoping to have the reflash. Said they have to see it first. Mileage around town and highway mixed is now down to 13.6 mpg this morning when I filled up. Had been around 15.6 mixed over the last 4 months.

Said they just came out with a new TSB for the 5.0 for misfire. Did not give any more details.

Just had mine done. Shifts smooth now. Climbed the two hills I normally do each day. Big difference on the shudder. Heard the turbo (waste gate I think) a few times then it disappeared. Not enough driving yet to seek leave change. The part I don't like is that to switch between instant fuel economy, I used to be able to just push the up button. Now when I do that it jumps to the main menu and I have to toggle over. Not a big deal, but frustrates me. I'll update when I have more miles after the reflash.

*"seek leave". Should read "see a mileage"

Try this on your truck settings:

Settings->Menu_Control->Memory_On
