They are one and the same...took mine on a short open highway road trip today, although the shudder is still there, it appears to be more intermitent and less noticable than right after I had the reflash. Tranny shifts are smoother IMO, and it feals more solid on the throttle and less hesitation. I still think the truck is being held back by this issue. When a good fix comes out I think the truck will shine. I had better mpgs today also on a short trip...I got 17 on average for a 45 minute run. I think the truck just needs driven to let the new flash set in, hopefully the next one will be all that is needed to finally correct the issue!

What I have a hard time understanding is that if it a flash issue that will fix it, why aren't all of the trucks doing it. They all started out with the same factory program. My mileage was better after the tsb and now getting worse again.

I have a feeling after a couple months we'll all be right back to where we were.

It's not a flash or programming issue. It's a transmission issue. I'd guarantee it's a torque converter issue. Both my neighbors, one an Audi tech the other a Volvo tech, say torque converter. Programming is not going to solve a component issue. They're just trying to come up with a cheap way to mask the symptoms of the real issue.

and put people off as long as possible to get as many vehicles out of warranty before fixing the real problem. Saving money is the name of their game. I'd bet my years salary on it.

I unfortunatley will have to echo everyone elses findings after the flash. The service guys said they couldn't replicate the issue, but flashed it anyway. Went for an ~300 mile trip this weekend. I do think it's got a better feel in regards to power, but overall the shudder is still there. Mine was never real bad to begin with, but even after this flash, it feels pretty much the same. Hard for me to say that fuel economy is up because I was loaded down with a 4 wheeler and some luggage, but I feel it may have gone up slightly as I was still hovering around the 18.5MPG mark loaded on country highway roads.

My shudder seems to come on most if you come down a hill and immediately go up another hill. Just as I hit the gas after having my foot off the pedal to give it a little ummph for the next hill, I'll feel it shudder. Then every now and again it'll give me a surge or a small buck going up the hill.

Have not drove since the reflash until this morning. But noticed right away when I started the truck it started easier and idled much smoother than before. Hopefully they figure out the shudder because it didnt change at all, maybe worse because its running right and feels more powerful. (Who's got extra cash to swap the tc and see if thats the issue). Lol.

After driving mine for a few days now mine still seems to shudder. Ive had the waste gates make their familiar noise only once or twice but now I only hear them when I let off the gas like I should. But like you said when I am coming off a hill to go up another one I get a vibration until it downshifts. It does seem to drive much better now since the flash with quicker throttle response as well. But like everyone else I still think there is another problem that ford is trying to avoid due to costs.

As long as everyone still under warranty has this problem documented after the flash once our warrantys are gone they should still fix it if they actually come out with a proper fix.
