Pistol mount
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying strip everybody of their weapons, but something needs to be done to regulate weapons. For example mags, transporting of weapons. And maybe I'm a little confused so feel free to sort me out, why the hell do you need fully automatic long guns?
I mean I've spent 2years in combat, and I have never had a need to fire on full auto, mainly because its not accurate fire, and it's a waste of ammo

These threads always make me sad that I live in liberal gun-hating Canada. I wish I was allowed to have a dilemma as to where I keep my chunk while driving
haha. Apparently I can only be trusted to carry while I'm on the company dime.
Blackhawk makes a mount for their SERPA line of holsters that allow you to "quick connect" the holster on to different mounts. Basically it splits the holster into two pieces; one side of the mount goes on the holster, the other mounts on your belt paddle, your tac vest, thigh rig, etc, or however you wear your weapon. The kit comes with a second mount that you could mount in your vehicle under the steering wheel just like the Gum Creek mount. The only difference would be when you remove it from the vehicle and back on to your person, the only thing left in the truck is a very descrete, non-descript mounting plate, as opposed to the empty holster left from the Gum Creek holster.
FWIW, when I carry, its always on me, and if I carried in my personal time it would still be on me. Like others have mentioned, I don't want to get hauled out of my ride and leave my piece in the vehicle. If your concern is just limited to being able to draw while you're belted in your truck, there are a few options out there for rigid seat belt extenders. A dude I work with uses a rigid extender he got off officerstore.com but I can't find it listed anymore. The brand is "Clik-It" but I can't even find a website for them now. Anyway, it seems to work well for allowing you to draw while belted.
