Software Updates
Me too. They must've changed something on their end yesterday that finally allowed the update to push through successfully. At one point I saw an error message associated with one of my failed attempts that said something to the effect of "update failed due to interruptions by another process."

Just got an update this afternoon for the first time in long time after driving from Tampa to Orland then back. I filled up my truck with gas and now I have 675 miles to empty. I have never ever had seen anything over 520 miles till empty after filling up. Is this even possible, I average 15.8 miles per gallon?
SoC is not the only parameter it checks. It also checks for battery capacity, temperature and BMS data quality. Message me the VIN and I can check, but that message is 100% of the time related to the 12v battery (or 12v batteries if it is a PowerBoost).
@rugedraw just getting back from a road trip through the Canadian Rockies and catching up on the thread. Is it the consensus that the battery disconnect will get me through the USB not reading issue I was having with the APIM update or was that resolving another issue different from mine? It wasn’t real clear so checking before I spend the money on another license and attempt. Thanks!

I would try the battery pull for 20 minutes (if your truck is a PowerBoost, disconnect the 12v under the rear seat, too) and see if the USB indexes or does anything at all. If it doesn't, then all you can do is spend the $120, run the APIM update in FDRS and as soon as the screen pops up asking if the update went through, select yes and see what happens. Unfortunately, there is no way to know without trying and risking the $120 going up in smoke.
Do you still have the USB that FDRS made? The battery pull trick worked for two of the three trucks. The other truck we suspect may have a bad APIM, but he has not wanted to fork up the $120 to try again.

I think it’s still had the files but if not will run the process before I do the battery disconnect. I have an open day tomorrow for a change so might as well give it a go. I don’t have the Powerboost but I do have 2 batteries under the back seat which I assume are for the pro power. Would those need to be disconnected as well?
