Power Boost trucks do not have the Auto Stop/Start feature.

Hello all,
I had issues with my APIM and did not receive any updates from when I picked the truck up in 2021. In approximately June this year I had the APIM replaced under warranty and it was version 20 1146. I have hooked up my Wi-Fi and set automatic updates, but I have yet to receive an update. Wondered if there’s any other solutions you may be aware of without me scrolling through pages and pages of comments. Thank you in advance!

PS - when checking for updates. It says it is up-to-date. Which I believe it is totally not up-to-date.

Wi-fi settings have nothing to do with OTAs. All but one have been delivered via the truck's TCU (modem), and THAT one was only because it was needed to fixe a problem with getting OTA updates via the TCU!

You can also update manually, but you need a J2534 VIC (e.g., Mongoose Plus) and an FDRS subscription - about $625 between the two.

If the person you're responding to isn't aware, a Mongoose cable is available to borrow from Rugedraw and others. Other than a $500 deposit, the only cost is USPS Priority shipping, both ways. A waiting list to borrow one is maintained here. He's been doing that long enough that his honesty in refunding the deposit (minus shipping) has been well established, publicly.

A 2-day FDRS subscription is available for ~$50. I forget the details but, depending on the time of day you subscribe, it may remain active through the end of the calendar day when your 48 hour subscription expires.

Yes, thanks for sharing. I was a little lazy or I could have posted that.

The current wait list is in post #2 in that thread. Add to the end of the thread if you want to be added to the wait list.

Im sorry, Im a bit confused here, your saying my truck has been updated? I had been speaking with Rugedraw , apparently my APIM has not been registered with Ford and it’s still showing my old 20203 (?) on the Ford site.

We're referring to As-Built data getting sent back to the Ford mothership after being edited, not firmware updates for modules.

Your case is different. FDRS and a Mongoose will not help you. The dealer would need to swap out your APIM (again) with the correct part number for your truck.

It took my dealer two different APIM modules to get one working. I was one of the first after the entire debacle started -- the first one they got came directly from Ford engineers.
