Software Updates
I got an update on Sept 20. Shows in app ECG-24.2.5.6.2 Anyhow, since then, if i try to go into update settings in my truck, it comes up and says it will take a few minutes to retreive something and it just sits there. Cant access my update schedule or anything. Anyone else have this problem or know of a fix?
My latest update a week or so ago has me now getting the system shut off to save the battery message. Is there any way to get this back to normal as it disables the interior lights when getting in the truck at night. Does it have to go to a dealer? Is it a big deal to reset or can they do it easily?

The system shutoff to save battery message is a sign of a weak battery. It also often shows up as auto stop/start not working. I suspect the software update is just a coincidence and likely didn’t cause this. Do you often drive very short distances? How old is battery? Are there loose connections on the battery terminals?

I got that update about 10 days ago. In my truck after that, when I went to software update icon it said “getting update status” or something like that, with the spinning wheel for about five seconds, then went to the software updates main page. There I can turn automatic updates off, set a recurring schedule or look at the update details for the most recent update. So no, mine is not behaving like yours, at least I don’t think so based on your description. Not sure what to tell you to do. I’d maybe do a sync reset which has to do with the volume and seek right buttons being pressed and held at same time, but I have no idea if that will fix it. Or perhaps disconnecting your battery for 10+ minutes. But I’m just tossing out random ideas I would try; sorry, I don’t know that they will work.
That update was to help fix software updates per their vague description. Sounds to me like ironically maybe yours didn’t fully take or that something needs rebooted, hence my two suggestions to reboot sync or disconnect battery to reboot all modules. Hopefully someone with more software smarts than I will come along and give you a better solution.
I have seen a few people mention that same thing recently. I am not sure why that is happening. My truck is showing me the details of an update that failed to install as if it installed correctly.
