I have my updates settings 7 days at 1:00 AM. Should I change the time of day?

 

That should work just fine. This is only for updates that inhibit the truck. The OTA system is just very slow.

 

I could use your help as well… I have not been able to get any updates since 2021 and sometimes this truck thinks it’s Canadian and goes from Fahrenheit to Celsius miles to kilometers.. and can’t enjoy the the CarPlay bigger screen update and sometimes CarPlay disconnects whenever it wants to.. tried the ford pass app and I still can’t do the updates, the toggle to turn on automatic updates will not turn on, it’s if it’s disabled. Got your message. Your truck is on Sync 20301 which is the bad software from 2020 known to break the OTA process. At this point, your truck is out of warranty, so I would not expect much help from a dealer. You would need to invest in the tools needed for FDRS to try and fix it yourself, or buy an APIM properly programmed for your truck and swap it out. Or, just live with your truck as it is and know you will never get any updates.

 

oh man that really sucks! I hate that ford would let owners continue on with a known bad software even after warranty. I was thinking about doing a aftermarket tune for MPG and I’m guessing there is no aftermarket fix for my issue so I’m just stuck. Ugh!!😩 thank you for looking up my vin!!
