Either a dealer or FDRS user. Forscan cannot update the SW.

Not all modules can be updated OTA. A dealer will only update a module under warranty if you are having problems. Otherwise you have to pay out of pocket for them to do it, or you can buy the necessary adapter and an FDRS subscription to do it yourself.

On the topic of "if you are having problems," does anyone here happen to know whether the "Passenger Door Module (PDM)" update happens to address the apparent all-F-150 issue of the rear passenger doors not working with Intelligent Access (fob recognition)?

I have a similar issue. Using the fob or unlock switch inside, the rear passenger door can't be opened from the inside...actually a safety issue.

Do you have the child lock activated on that door?

Anyone know why or have a theory as to why some vins report no OTA history? The android app displayed the OTA status as a failed 1.7.1 update all along and then one day changed to OTA status unknown. Livnitup checked my vin and it came back no OTA history. Just Curious.

You don't mean the feature which requires that the backseat occupant's doorhandle release be pulled once to unlock, then immediately a second time to open?
