Wondering if the steering wheel cover I put on might be contributing to that. I don't think even if I had Blue Cruise I would trust it to keep my hands off the wheel for more then a couple of seconds based on the "assist" performance..
I also find that annoying. I have to randomly swerve my truck around and fight with the system to not get nagged? I don't think there is a pressure sensor in the wheel, or do you have to have a gorilla grip to trigger it?

I am wondering this as well. Initially many people seemed to get 1.4 just a week or so after 1.6, but it took my truck several months. And now 1.7.1 seems to be dribbling out very gradually. I wonder what Ford’s server architecture is for the OTA’s; do they own and operate their own server farm, or are they contracting with a hosting service? I would think they would want to own and control this themselves, with the idea that they can just add more servers as the connected vehicle population grows. But maybe they are having trouble scaling due to equipment shortages, and the success rate of the downloads is less than anticipated, so the servers take longer per update than planned. That might be one thing explaining how long it’s taking to get rolling on Blue Cruise OTA.

OTA updates don't take much server power - even with millions of connected devices. I suspect it is due to some legacy systems that they have in place that are linked to the OTA process. Let's hope that the new leadership from Apple changes this up. Adding new features to the truck via a software update is a great selling point - certainly worked well for Tesla! With all of the tech onboard, there's always an opportunity for improvement.

Hey there. Would you please send over a private message with your VIN so I can look into your update concern on my end? Thanks!

It would be great if owners could see their own software update history and status. It would also be great if there was an online resource listing the history of PowerUp and Sync4 updates and what they contained.

Great to see Ford actually monitoring these boards! Now if we could just get communication from Ford on what is going on with the BlueCruise Over the Air Update....

My truck is on WiFi every night, in the garage and online it still says it's "up to date" with the last update date being Feb 23, 2021. That's the build date of the truck so I KNOW mine is behind a few updates! Lariat 501a, and I actually pay for the hotspot as well so I know it has good connection! Driving me nuts. I have clicked the send feedback on the sync 4 screen at least once a week hoping my truck will get an OTA soon.

Same here. 502A Lariat and my last update was the build date of mine back in the beginning of this year

We’ll I hooked my truck up to FDRS (Ford diagnostic) and it said every module was up to date.
It’s a little unsatisfying. Like missing a sneeze.

Same here. Build date was last recorded update for my 502 Lariat. Curious - has anyone from Canada received an OTA update at any point. Truck saying it's up to date falls flat when you hear of new software rolling out to others.
