I was looking at that too. Let me know how you like it. I’m not really sure exactly how it works, but have watched the videos. I have Bootcamped a Mac with Windows and have FORScan loaded, but haven’t even tried running it yet. I am computer savvy but still worry I’ll mess it all up…

Good luck!!

After months of no new updates, finally got 3.5.3 and 3.5.4. The full screen CarPlay is everything I have wanted. My wife has it on her Mach-e, but I like it even more on the horizontal oriented 12" screen.

Just make sure you follow the instructions in the sticky. First and foremost, back up the existing module config in case you need to reload...lots of good stuff mostly in the first tab labelled Common

One other thing I think I noticed is that the truck seems to be staying in electric mode longer. I was not driving it any differently, but it seemed to be in electric mode a lot more. I will validate this as I am not sure if any of the updated modules would even impact this. It may be wishful thinking.
Very unlikely. And updates to the drivability would come in the form of a PCM update, and this updates the APIM; 3.5.4 is for the TCU. None of those modules have anything to do with how the vehicle drives.

I haven’t gotten notification of 3.5.4 but have full screen CarPlay now. I thought 3.5.4 was required: did you get notification in FordPass for both updates?

Thanks for the validation. Chalk it up to wishful thinking.

3.5.4 is definitely NOT required. I got 3.5.3 on Thursday as my history shows and that's when it was first available. I didn't even know I got it until I was taking the kids somewhere and saw the expand arrows on the CarPlay screen.

3.5.4 came today.

Edit: Sorry, I got notified about both updates in the Ford Pass app. My wife even got two OTA updates for her MME this week. Maybe Ford is improving the roll out schedule or we just had a lucky week.

Yes, Ford has been pushing out updates like crazy lately on F150, Lightings and Mach E's.

The wording of 3.5.4 says it enables Alexa, but many people are saying you get it with 3.5.3. This would only apply to 2021 owners as 2022's already had it from factory.

Yes, I got Alexa as outlined in the notification for 3.5.3 but full screen CarPlay wasn’t there. It is there now but I have received no notification of 3.5.4 arriving yet. Maybe it is in the notification queue.
